Can you clarify if you mean claim or complain?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. claim back, one of the loans was started of 9 years ago and I have had others since with have been used to pay off which have all had PPI on them, but it is only the latest one that I actually benefited from the PPI although it was a backdated claim as I forgot it had it on it, the credit card has just been the one but again, took advantage of it once I realised it was on it...

Ok, you mean complain. I wanted to make sure as the word claim is so frequently misused and I wanted to make sure your second bit meant claim in the proper insurance sense.
You have every right to complain. However, if your complaint is successful, the amount paid out under the claim would be deducted from the premiums. Also, the fact you have claimed gives you fewer reasons to complain. For example, you can't say you were not eligible.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Let me say right from the start, I,m no financial wizard nor do I even begin to understand the complexities of claiming PPI!
We,ve recently been offered just under £3500.00 from Santander (formerly Abbey National). We've worked out from our paperwork that the premiums paid by us plus 8% works out to roughly that amount.
Is that the amount we should accept or should we be asking/receiving more? As well as the premiums and the interest should they be paying us anything else???0 -

Hi,
I'm wondering if someone could help me, As i'm all confused over the PPI reclaim.
About 7 years ago, I got a catalogue (Great Universal) Now Kay&co. I had this account upto this year where they made a huge mistake in loosing some products that i refused to pay for.
Anyways...After 6 months of disagreeing they sent the account to their debt department. Once the mistake was cleared the account was paid off in full.
Now, I'm looking back to see if im entitled to claim PPI. During this time i moved homes twice & cant for the life of me, Cant find any information, Not even statements.
I have tried contacting the catalogue (Plus others i had/have) and none of them seem to want to assist me with any ppi at all.
So, Should i just download letter from here and give it a bash, Or have i lost out completely?
Any advice would be fab!! :TFuture goals:
Become debt free.
Beat Depression.
Be happy & healthy0
