Is there a top ten list of 'best' PPI claim companies?
On a site which emphasises that successful PPI complaints are easily achievable without using such a company, why would there be any reason to refer to a "top ten"?

    No,there isn't.

Well, if you can't find the time to do it yourself, you'll still have to find the time to do it yourself to tell the claims company everything about your claim, names, dates, loans, credit cards etc, and then they'll send off your complaint.

Price of a stamp=up to half of your possible upheld complaint.

    But it's your choice.

Is there a top ten list of 'best' PPI claim companies?

Seeing as claims companies do not aid your chances of complaint and can actually reduce them, its pretty hard to see how you could get a best of.
I have a few areas which might yield some PPI. However no time to look into claims for myself.

What makes you think that a claims company will help you there? You do realise that all they do is get you to complete the FOS form or their version of it and then put it in an envelope and post it for you.

    Hiya

I understand that not everyone are aware that you can make the complaint of reclaiming of PPI yourself.

And going by some that have used Claims companies, more's been involved in regards of paperwork, this is not required to make a reclaim, and you can make a reclaim on PPI if you have reasons for being mis sold, by just completing the complaint questionnaire as below. However, it does help to have the account number.

You pursue the ones who sold you the finance.

And by doing this yourself, if successful you will receive the refund without having to pay any of it to claims companies.

So as the others also said above, we do not suggest or recommend using claims companies, so there will be no top 10.;)

It is jumping the gun to think about what you may get back. Your complaint has to be agreed with first. Plus, we know nothing about the premiums you paid. Focus on your complaint first and dont think about winning.

A teacher can certify copies if they know the individual and are willing to do so.

The teacher will know the wording that they are allowed to use. It can vary with different professions and employers as to what they let their staff write or if they let the staff member do it at all.

  • Hi,
Is there anyway of requesting photocopies of statements of what I payed re P.P.I, I would pay for them. I also had a couple of credit cards and am unsure if I payed P.P.I, is there any way of checking this?
    Many Thanks.

Yes, it's called a Subject Access Request (SAR), there is a full letter template here.....
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1475553

If there were a few accounts with the same business one SAR and the fee of £10 cheque or postal order, they have up to 40 calendar days to comply.

However, to save money, try first by contacting the business directly, if any of the banks are local to you, call in and they may try tracking them down for you.

    Hope this helps, good luck.
