Why not ask them if there was PPI?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. Over the last 12 years I have bought 3 cars through Ford Credit each time taking out PPI I wonder if any one had been successful in re-claiming PPI through Ford Finance?0

I had a loan with nationwide that insisted on PPI. After 3 years I lost my job and eventually was made bankrupt. I did request to kick in the PPI to help out but they never instigated it's process.
Now after being cleared through the bankruptcy should I claim the PPI or will they just swallow it up, even though I have been bankrupt and discharged ???0 -

You can complain but if successful, the money is sent to the official receiver to distribute to the creditors you left debts with.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). I took out a Mortgage with the above Building Society back in October 1990 and as far as I am able to ascertain I paid PPI on this loan. This Building Society was swollowed up by The Halifax in the early 90's. I finished off my Mortgage in 2002 and I am just wondering if I was to make a claim for mis-sold PPI who would my claim be against as the Leeds no longer exists.0

Highly unlikely. No building society has ever done front loading of PPI on a mortgage. If you had it then it would have been standalone.I am just wondering if I was to make a claim for mis-sold PPI who would my claim be against as the Leeds no longer exists.
You complain to the Halifax who will then almost certainly reject your complaint due to lack of information on a product long gone. And that ignores the fact that the mortgage PPI has lower success rates and is more likely to fail anyway.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Hello,
I am looking to make a claim, however I dont have my credit agreement and I had the card over 10 years ago.
I remember trying to make a PPI claim and they turned me down and I think i cancelled the PPI agreement a while after.
I am pretty sure that i didnt balance transfer untill about 6 years ago so this should show up on my recent credit score I did for my mortgage, if it does show up do I contact the bank and ask them for a copy of the credit agreement and make the claim that way?
As much help as you can give me on this would be great as I have no idea what to do and dont want to use one of those no win no fee companies.
Thanks0 -

When you repay a loan early, the redemption figure typically includes a rebate on the premium paid (or a refund is issued later).I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
