If neither side has any evidence of PPI being paid then its usually game over. They cant consider a complaint when they dont even know if you had the product you were complaining about.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Hi - I've been paying an income protection plan for the last 18 years on a monthly basis. It was sold to me with my mortgage endowment. Over the years I will have paid quite a sum. If I am off work for 12m I will get £64 a month which is pretty useless. The policy has no value currently or in the future if cashed in and I plan to stop the payment and close it. Have I any chance to claim this was miss sold to me and reclaim the payments.0

On what basis would you complain that the policy was mis-sold?0

1) its not PPI
2) do you think it is impossible for you to be ill?

Hi all,
Hoping someone can offer some advice please.
I have recently received a text saying a decision had been made on my PPI Loan from Natwest/RBS and that I should receive a letter outlining my offer soon. I just wondered if this amount could be taken to redress a Natwest Credit Card from 2010? I think it has been sold to a collection agency?
Additionally, does anyone have any idea how long money takes to be paid once you send your acceptance letter and will the offer letter tell me if they plan to use the money to redress credit card account?
Many thanks in advance ☺️0 -

Hi I need to ask a question. I had a call from a company saying I was entitled to PPI. I had claimed previously with my bank and told the caller this. They said I may not have claimed for all accounts & they would look at it and let me know. They sent me a letter which I signed & sent back. I again rang the & said I had already claimed. I was told it was ok and if it turned out I had claimed everything there was no fee. I had confirmation form my bank that this company had asked but all accounts were settled. I assumed that was it which was over a month age. Today I received a bill from said company for £990!!!
I rang them and explained the situation and a manager is meant to be ringing me back next week. If they pull the telephone conversations I had with them they will see I had told them I had already claimed...... Wondered if anyone could tell me where I stand with this now. Thanks Anthony0 -

Hi All,
I hope I'm putting this in the right place, a number of years ago I tried claiming back PPI from Bank of Ireland for mis-selling on Credit Cards and Loans.(I knew very little at the time about PPI and banks, I was about 23, and it was before the public hype around PPI).
My claims were rejected and I appealed with the bank, and they sent me a final response (with information about the FSA), I assumed it was a fob off as I knew nothing about them at the time.
A number of years later I was made aware of what they actually do, and contacted them, they advised that because I had received my final response from BOI, they couldn't/wouldn't investigate but I should ask them again to open the complaints and see if they would be willing to look at it again. I did ask, with little hope and as expected they very kindly refused.
This morning my wife received a Cheque for reclaiming PPI (£3008) and it has brought it to the front of my mind again, is they any way I can look into reclaiming the money paid on this mis-sold policies? I was never given the option not to have PPI, I was asked to sign in a number of places when taking the Credit cards and Loans.
I only wish I knew what the FSA were responsible for at the time, or I wish I had of waited and tried to claim in more recent years.
Thanks in advance for any help and comments.

You can certainly write to them again, but any complaint is now time-barred and the Bank would need to look at the complaint voluntarily. You will have no access to the Ombudsman Service.0
