I have sent off the letters to each of these companies but the accounts/cards had all been closed years ago in default when I was made redundant.
So, even if they did find something to pay out on, they could keep the money to offset the debt you failed to repay. Is this right?
I'm not sure how people on the internet can tell you that as we have no access to your records.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). I used Resolver to claim on two PPI that I had turned down in 2013 one was Satander and one was Capital One. My complaint was sent in last week and today 10 days later I have had a response from Capital one, they still hold their original decision on the PPI but agree to the high commission part of it and are offering me £1179.79.
Have heard nothing from Satander.0 -

As above.
I may have had PPI but cannot recall. IS there any company that will check for you without charge and then will either pursue for a fee or let you deal with it yourself with charging you anything.
Really sorry if its been asked before but there looks like loads to read and it might not be clear cut.
Thanks.0 -

All they do is write to the lenders (which the customer identifies) simply enquiring whether there was any PPI. The customer is then "encouraged" to sign a Letter Of Authority for that company to represent them in potential PPI complaints.
Why involve any third party to do this, though?0
