Hi everyone,
To the people who said you may be able to get account numbers off your credit report, can you tell me how/where please?
I looked at my credit expert report but it has no account numbers or reference numbers for any of my accounts!
Thanks0 -
But surely when the PPI has earnt £340 in in interest over 3 and half years, after its cancellation it should only be earning what, £100 max over the last year? Sorry Amersall but I'm stuck here. Had the loan and the PPI run for the full 60 months, the repayment figure would have been £15,669.60. The PPI was cancelled in April 2011 as I've explained, yet despite telling us that the cancellation of the PPI would enable the loan to be repaid in a shorter space of time, if their calculations are enforced it will mean that we have paid £15,721.37, even though the PPI was cancelled almost 18 months before the end of the loan period.
Have they said that this loan will still go term end?, the problem is you did not win mis sell, so the loan is not reset, that is the first problem, you still have to pay the loan and ppi back at full monthly payment to term end.
The second problem is (if i remember right:) sorry if i have not:o) they have not taken the ppi off the loan in it's entirety, did your sis get the rebate to her or the loan?, if she got it to her then the rebate is still on the loan, this is why the term and payment and interest are the same.
If she received the rebate to the loan then you are right in that the balance you owe should be lower by the rebate amount so i understand where you are coming from.0 -

Ive managed to do 0% balance transfers every year so ive had around 5 different lenders. Unfortunetly I have no paperwork for my previous lenders. Whats the first step? Ive got my credit report but it only shows me the last 4 digits of my old credit accounts. Anyone want to give me some pointers to find a) my old account numbers and or how anyone got on in a similar process to mine.0

Hi, I wonder if anyone could tell me if this email sounds ok? I've had a partial offer from Central Trust about a First Plus loan. The original complaint was rejected because I'd mentioned being told it was compulsory, but they've admitted front loading it was wrong. I'm not sure how they can say 'we did mis-sell a policy, but because we don't think we did in the way you said, and just in this other way, we're not giving you the full amount'. It's insane. Anyway, I wanted to reply with:
We recently received an offer for the mis selling of the PPI on our loan.
Having thoroughly read the initial letter, I would firstly like to point out that being told it was a condition of the loan did not happen at the time of the initial sales call, but after receiving the loan particulars and before signing and returning them. We called to query it as it was such a large amount, and were told then the loan would only be accepted with PPI.
However, this is largely incidental because, as you have mentioned, the way that the PPI was applied, as a front loaded, separate loan is deemed as a mis-sell under the Financial Ombudsman’s rules, and therefore I see no reason for an offer of anything less than full redress.
I would like you to provide us with revised offer of the full amount paid, minus rebate plus interest, or we will refer it to the Financial Ombudsman who are extremely likely to find in our favour.
Regards,
me.
However, I feel like I shot myself in the foot by mentioning what we were told (as above, they listened to a phone call, but not the relevant one) and I'm reluctant to make the same mistake again!
Any tips?0 -
