    Thank you.

No, you have to do a joint application, though not to say he hasn't already tried it and forged your signature - there are cases on here occasionally where someone gets a cheque out of the blue and their ex starts chasing them to pay a CMC fee because the ex used a CMC who managed to put the complaint in and then billed them

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

  • I think it would be too much hassle then.

What about Northern Rock mortgages (also in joint names)?

    Thank you for your help

It's the same rule for any joint finance, both people need to complain as it's joint. Mortgage is more likely to fail anyway as it's a vital protection (if setup right) to stop you losing your home hence why so few complaints are successful

    Hiya,

I'm all fired up to make my complaint to Lloyds. I've tried to submit the online form several times last night and this morning but keep getting this page submission error 1007.

Has anyone else been getting that?

    Thanks

It would be much easier to just ring them up and start the case if the website is playing up. The chances of someone on here also trying to submit a PPI complaint to Lloyds at the same time is minuscule and even if they did it wouldn't make any difference, 1007 is a server error that they need to fix at their end not something you can resolve.

Cheers. I prefer to do it online as I'm not too good on the phone and I'm afraid I'll say the wrong thing and you never know what they're typing/misquoting. I just spoke briefly to PPI complaints helpline and told them and to their IT helpdesk who weren't very helpful/audible, but knew about it. I'll just try again tomorrow and hope it's fixed.

Just write to them if not

    Form here

    http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/publications/technical_notes/ppi.html

    Address here:

Lloyds Bank, PPI Customer Services, BX1 1LT

There is a fair chance they will call anyway if they need to discuss things or clarify stuff you have put

What sort of things would they need to ask? What happens if they cannot get hold of you?

I'm liking the sound of the 8 per cent interest calculations as my case goes back nearly 20 years (and yes, I do have all the bank statements etc)
    :):):)

I haven't worked or been a taxpayer for over 10 years due to having autistic children plus two bouts of cancer, so presumably that means if I get a payout and tax is deducted at source, I'll be able to get it all back from the tax department???

PS I'll send all the info in by mail if I can't get it done online. Just want to get things under way.
