Hello :j I send a PPI claim to MBNA for a credit card which I settled February 2011 and the account is closed. Same date I send a letter to Tesco for a loan that still has 5 months to run.
Tesco has send me a letter confirming receipt of the claim and that they are investigating. However I have not had anything back from MBNA? (letter was delivered and signed for on the 8th March). Anyone has any experiences with MBNA and Tesco they could share? Time lines etc?
Thank youLBM 11/2009 Total Debts 11/2009 £44624 with DFD 2015

MBNA took 2-3 weeks to acknowledge the receipt of my letter (about the last to respond), but were pretty quick after that.0 -

Loads to read, and after much searching i'm still not sure where i can even find the template of the letter. Can anyone please point me in the right direction??
Basically, i'm helping my parents claim theirs. They are old school and have kept every single piece of paper/statement for the last 10 years. I'm sorted through the paperwork which says how much PPI they have paid on a loan and a credit card.
I am applying on the grounds that for the loan they told my parents if they didn't get ppi then they wouldn't get the finance. Not sure what to do about the credit card though. Is the mastercard number the account number? If not where would i find it or do i just quote the mastercard number when asking for a breakdown of charges letter?
I appreciate that this is a busy thread, so any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Hello there with the reasons you have to make a reclaim, you simply just complete the reclaim questionnaire, these were issued by the FOS for customers to use to make a reclaim complaint to the business that set up and sold the accounts.
That is correct in regards of the mastercard account number, you use that.
The reclaim questionnaire replaced the template letters on this site.

Remember to keep copies as well, good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Wishing you luck on your reclaiming.
They do have 8 full weeks to provide you with a decision, but you should receive confirmation that they received your complaint within a week or maybe 2 weeks.
Every bank/business varies, no harm in contacting them if you hear nothing from MBNA by say next week to state you not received a letter of confirmation as yet.
Good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hello,
I was contacted the other week by a claims company and have been a couple of times in the past and stupidly enough I gave them permission to take out money from my credit card.
the thought was I could not really be bothered to deal with it myself but then upon asking other people and finding info on MSE it seems that it is easy to do.
Saying that I am still a bit overwhelmed by the amount of posts and "email this form here, email that there, call this and call that".
So, I am going to keep it as simple as possible.
Am I right in saying that the FIRST thing I need to do is to fill out the PPI consumer questionnaire and send it to my lender (Barclays).
Thanks.0 -
I have finally decided to make a claim for my mortgage PPI.
It is nearly 20 years I have been paying the premium and as this payment was simply rolled into my mortgage payment I think I have a case.
The article talks about getting your payments back +8% interest.
Any idea how this is calculated?
Having got a calculator out the difference between payments plus 8% and each years payment plus 8% for each year is massively different!0 -

You need to cancel the claims company first, have you signed a contract?, if you put the claim in Barclays will let them know if you win redress and they will want the % of the win.
You need to cancel the company and tell them you want your initial payment back or you will report them to these.

You must sort this out before you make the claim on your own.0
