PPI Reclaiming Discussion Part 5

Hi,
Quick question, I was under notice of redundancy when I took out the egg credit card, does that mean the PPI was worthless as they would not pay out.
I applied during the time when it was a pre ticked box and in April I got notice I would be redundant in September, applied for card 19/4/2001.
Thanks for any help already received.
All you can do is write to them fill in the FOS questionnaire with as much info as possible and see where you stand.0 -

Thank you, I've done the questionnaire and a letter and posted off recorded delivery.
We'll see what happens next.
I only just realised when I checked noddle and worked out the dates.0 -
hi
new to this would like some help re ppi /lone taken out 1993 paid off 2002
lone scured on house originaly sold from broker at my home.
lone was with forthright finance i thought advance was 18700 total after looking at found paperwork seems £1870 ppi was added at the time although the broker said its included it was not somthing i wanted and made it clear but was told application would not go through without it.
after finding paperwork lone payment was £17000 @ 215.99 then with £1870 added ppi total payment was £239.75 the dif between the 2 is the interest charge for the ppi .lone was for 15 yrs lone ran for 9ys or so
as mentioned it was paid off 2002 in full but it looks like they took a lot ppi money as it was front loaded then charged interest for 9 yrs think insurance only ran 1st 5 yrs on 1st named borrower although cant find the policy
can anyone advise if i have a claim and details of forthright finance address of where to forward the claim to.

Help! I find this all very confusing and i'm not sure whether to go ahead or not, its a minefield!
Anyway, QUESTION 1 - can i still put in a claim for ppi to RBS/MINT credit cards that i have had since 2002 and still use regularly? I am self employed and have all my statements etc, i have looked at these and cant see any mention of ppi though? Is it likely if i put in a claim that they will stop my credit card and do they have to admit whether i had ppi or not?
QUESTION 2 - i have banked with Barclays for approx 26 years and during that time i have had several loans and a Barclaycard but cant remember if i had ppi, some of the loans date back approx 10 - 20 years and the Barclaycard also. I have all my old bank statements so can trace the reference numbers to the loans but not the Barclaycard. The bottom line is i am not sure if i have ever had ppi on any of my loans or creditcards so should i go ahead?
Any help you can give me will be most appreciated, thanks :-)0 -
I think if you had PPI on a credit card it would show on your statements as it is normally a % of the balance. If you paid the balance of every month then you probably didn't actually pay anything towards PPI.
If you are unsure about the PPI on any loans then send an SAR to the bank concerned. There is a sticky on the fron page about SAR's0 -

For your credit cards, PPI shows on statements every month so if you can't see it you are not paying it.0
