You mean it is possible to send someone a PM and never be told that they can't receive them? The system accepted both messages.

The "poster" has not been on the forum for long enough to send and receive messages.

Regardless, I wouldn't worry too much about it. He's very likely just another ambulance chaser touting for business. You'll get far more help on the open forum (and for free).

what happens to the PPI Insurance when the loan is settled early? Would I still have paid the PPI for the full term in the settlement figure or do they take off these amounts?
If you settled the loan early you would have received a proportionate rebate of the PPI. If your complaints are successful, therefore, you'll only receive back what you actually paid in PPI-not the full amounts on the original agreements.

Yes, I understood that to be what you meant, I am just not sure why the system lets you send a message that won't ever be received, it seems a bit daft to me!
  • Found thbis - it looks useful, at least, it was to me

It's just not a feature of the forum software to inform you that a given poster has no ability to send and receive messages.
As I keep saying, it's wise to wait until users have a much longer posting history before engaging them in private chat.
  • Well he hasn't been back to the forum anyway.

    Ok, thanks for your help.
  • Hi I was wondering if someone can help me, I sent a claim to HFC bank regarding PPI taken out on a hire purchase item through PC world back in 2003. I sent them a copy of the credit aggreement which showed PPI had been ticked on the form. They have replied to say they can not process it further as the account is closed and require a bank statement showing the account had the benefit of Payment Protection. Do I have to contact my bank to get a statement? will they be able to give me a statement going back to 2003? Does anyone know how much this costs?

Thank you in advance for any help
