Oops sorry forgot to add on my earlier post, so sorry for your loss, what a difficult time it must have been for you.
Hugs xxx
Thank you, and yes, it was hell. If only there was a 'how to prove your bank lied to you, so you ended up losing your home' thread to find out how to call HSBC to account as well!
Thanks again guys for all the help! x:)One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Good luck, please keep us posted, cheers.;)
they confirmed they are no longer trading and FSCS are sending out a FSCA questionnaire. they say it is a 3 month turn around time with them, which I think seems reasonable, given the FOI timescales. Now to pull all th paperwork together. thankfully my dad has all documents. What sort of evidence from outside the actual paaperwork may support the claim?0 -

Hi
Yes that is correct, you should not be waiting as long with the FSCS.
Any paperwork in relation of the broker/lender will be fine, make sure you send copies though.
The FSCS will send your details to Deloittes who will check they have everything they require and if they do require anything further they will write to you.
Good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
2011 - PPI successes
northern Rock refund £250 within one week of sending letter no questions asked.
First plus refund £10,500 had to go through FOS due to dodgy figures and low offer, basically trying to rip us off! We hung in there and it paid off. We wiped the loan and had a cheque for £2,500.
2012
just had a letter from LLoyds upholding our claim, due a refund of £1800.
Don't know when we will receive this as looking on here, it's taking a long time for them to send there cheques out!0 -

As I had the relevant docs I read the MSE Q&As and thought it would be a case of sending off the FSA form with a copy of the agreements to Dell and DFS, which I did. To date I haven't had any kind of acknowledgment from either of them. As 12 weeks are up would my next step be a complaint to the FSA? I would appreciate your advice.
Thanks
Wendy
I sent the Dell letter to their Head Office, I will have to check the DFS the copy is at home, I belive it would have been their Head office.0 -
Hi all
First post, just want to pick your brains if possible.
To put you in the picture: In late December 2011, I made two PPI claims to Barclaycard, one for a legacy Barclaycard I had since 1993, and the second for a legacy Egg card I had since 2001. I also made two claims to Lloyds TSB for a series of loans and a Credit Card.
The legacy Barclaycard was sorted and paid quickly.
Barclaycard are now telling me that they need to get the original details of application from Egg, but they have no idea how long that will take, as Egg are taking their time to provide this info. They have given me the details to go to FOS should I wish to do so.
My questions regarding Barclaycard therefore are:
1. Does anyone have any idea how long Egg take to provide this info to Barclaycard?
2. Is it worth making a complaint to FOS NOW, or give Barclaycard a little longer to sort it out, given that they dealt with the legacy Barclaycard very quickly?
LTSB have 10 days left to respond to me regarding my claim under the extended 12 week period applied to them. If i'd known that, I would held off my claim for 3 days so the deadline would be 8 weeks not 12!
Look forward to your wise thoughts!
Cheers.0
