From your experience, is it worth me going back to the bank and challenging?
    No.
You have no right to do this.
You have referred your case to FOS.
Any correspondence with the Bank on this issue would be ignored or simply diverted back to the Ombudsman.
The Bank have already issued their "full and final" response; as far as they are concerned the matter is closed.
FOS may adjudicate differently, but it won't be anytime soon.
  • Hi All

I have been wating 14 weeks for northern rock to give me an answer on my ppi claim.
Has anyone else had any dealings with Northern Rock and waited this long ?

Did you fill the NRAM form out or complain direct to NR?

I used the NRAM form and am on about week 14 although I have been assured a response letter has been sent out which I should recieve any day.

    Cheers

Can I ask how old your loans were with HSBC? Most of mine were in the 90s, don't have paperwork for all of them, I'm about 7 weeks in now still nothing apart from the " were investigating"

I have paid for 60 months £302 a month payment on a loan, £96 of this was PPI so will i get back the PPI payments in total or not.

FOS have already upheld my complaint with Blackhorse who are going along the lines of Payment or gesture of good will.

  • Hi,

I complained to Dixons Retail who now own PC World about some PPi that was mis-sold when I bought a pc on finance from them.
They replied saying that as it was in 2000 it was before PPi was regulated so I need to complain to the finance provider.
Can anyone tell me who I need to complain to please?

    Thanks
  • I complained to MBNA and got a cheque in the post for £139.64 seven days later.
I was shocked at the quick turn around but disappointed with the amount ad the PPI cover did not pay out when I lost my job.

Do you think I should send the cheque back with a letter of complaint.

    Need advise please.

You should have a calculation in the letter showing you how they worked out the rebate. If it doesn't look right, phone/go see/write to them.
