D'oh, I misunderstood. I thought he'd claimed successfully against NatWest and was now turning his sights on RBS. I forgot that they're now one and the same.0 -
I'm planning on putting 3 claims in one to my old bank and two to credit card companies MBNA & Morgan Stanley..However I finished an IVA 6 months ago and wonder should I bother or not...?
If my claims are successful do they take the amount off what was left that I owed them or do I get the full amount now the IVA has been completed...?"I took her to a supermarket,I don't know why but I had to start it somewhere" :cool:0 -

HFC replied saying
"Further to your recent complaint At the present timewehave been unable to resolve your complaint, as the investigation is yet tobe completed. As soon as all the relevant information has been gattered and our investigation has been completed a full response will be issued to you in writing. May we request your patience for a further 28 days by which time we wouldhope to be in a position to bring your complaint to a conclusion"
What do you guys think? Is this likely to be the start of a whole series of delaying tactics? Should I wait, or go now to FSA?0 -
I therefore presumed that as Paragon had been able to look at it themselves that it was still in existence and therefore I could obtain it. If I could obtain this through a SAR, which I fully realise has a cost attached to it, then yes it would be worth it as I am confident in what I recall.0

Send the Sar, they must have the agreement to say that you had no PPI, call their bluff, I would not trust them until I saw it in black and white.
I thought I smelled a rat too! I shall get on to it right away.
Thank you so much for your advice - much appreciated, I can't tell you how much your advice to others has been of help since investigating this.0 -
Hi amersall, moneyineptitude, di and cappo,

The only reason I was doubting you were correct in your assertion was the passage of time and the fact that you say you are looking at claiming from other lenders as well...0 -

No problem. There are 3 other lenders I have requested info from as I know I never wanted or needed ppi and it has been interesting to read on these boards that in the period I obtained the credit there were some pre ticked boxes or such like etc etc so I want to double check that all has been ok. Paragon stood out for me because I remember being upset/infuriated etc but desperate!
It may seem that I am arriving late to the party (for want of a better phrase) but I have been a stay at home mum for almost 6 years and I'm ashamed to say that most of this passed me by. For some reason I started receiving numerous emails and texts from ppi claim companies (goodness knows what mailing list I've currently got on and how!) so I started looking into it.
All above board, not out to make a quick buck etc, just addressing my finances! I shall certainly let you all know what comes back in the Paragon SAR.0
