Well first of all Id like to say a heartfelt thanks to Amersall for your unconditional patience and support on this thread and for all of you who take the time and trouble to post your helpful and reassuring advice.
:o:o thank you it is much appreciated
So Amersall but lovely informative invisible saviour - should I write/claim for all three or just the 2003 one that does indeed have ppi?
The 2nd Loan, when consolidated, would have had the remaining PPI after the rebate they gave for early settlement, put onto the 3rd Loan, you need to pay the £1 and get a copy of the agreement for the 3rd Loan to make sure there is no PPI on there and to see what PPI was carried over from the 2nd Loan.
Put the complaint in now with the Single premium reason for mis sell for the 2nd Loan and mention that the 3rd Loan was used to consolidate the 2nd Loan, see what happens with this, when you get the info regarding the 3rd Loan, then we can take it from there.Monday I was ready to give one of the claim handler firms a ring, indeed I was scouring this site for recommendations on the best one to use.:p:p:p:p I know as well
but you don't know what I charge yet :rotfl::rotfl:I am proud of myself too for getting past this fear.0 -

i applied to Nationwide to have my PPI paid back from a credit card. I was called by them and had various information taken by phone. I explained that though i had PPI at the time of signing. i was not aware my private work pension also covered me for critical illness, redundancy, death etc.( a lump sum of two years wages which was much higher than what i still owed on card.) They got someone to call me back and completed a form via phone. I received a letter nearly 3 weeks later saying that they had carefully been through everything and bascially i knew what i was signing for at the time and made some reference to me not being able to acess my money from pension people if anything happened to me:mad: They said their decision was final but basically i would not be getting anything. I could if i wanted to refer this to the Ombudsmen. They also enclosed a copy of the original PPI form i signed. (paying ppi since 2001 until May 2012). I had originally taken out a loan for 12months and the credit card at the same time. I was not claimimg back the PPI from the loan which was paid off years ago but the PPI which i was still paying until last month. I am single with no dependants and no property of my own.
Is it worth me carrying on with this.0 -
Hi
I am wanting to make a ppi claim with NatWest but dont have any paperwork. I sent the template letter to NatWest who sent me a letter with my account numbers and dates and figures etc but do i still need to send an SAR to get all the full details or can i just make a claim with the account numbers etc? Im not sure if i had ppi or not but sure i had it at some point so is it just worth me filling out the questionnaire and sending it to them and see what happens?
Please cna somebody help me as im at a loss as what to do at the moment!
Many thanks
What figures do you have?, if you are not sure that you had PPI then ring Natwest and ask, better to do this and know for sure than to wait 8 weeks or more to be told you do not have it.0 -

Just thought I'd mention that companies are still pushing hard with the PPI. I just got off the phone with Vanquis who are giving my a credit card (gonna bung it in a draw for emergencies) 4 times I had to say no to PPI, each time she asked me why, each time I told her I had other means of paying and she kept pushing.0 -

Hi Newbie here who feels really stupid!
Rang my bank today to ask for some info regarding my previous loans. They told me to ring another number as they did not have my records at the branch as my loans had been settled in 2010. I then rang a number they gave me which was the complaints dept set up to deal with PPI.
The woman I spoke to confirmed I had had PPI on all 3 of my previous loans dating back to 2005 and that I had a single premium policy on all the loans. ( I paid one single payment to the bank each month for the loan) The original loan was for £1500 the other 4 loans where taken to consolidate or re-finance? the 2nd loan was for £3700 and the 3rd for £7750. 4th loan just £700 added as she put it?. She then explained to me that as I had paid the loan off early (NOV 2010)the settlement figure included any monies owing to me in relation to PPI and therefore they had already refunded me any monies that I might have been due to me.
I feel a bit stupid now. I thought I may of had some compensation coming my way?0
