I am not sure I have statements but I have a letter dated 2006, saying that they are pleased to advise that I have been accepted for PPI.

Did you enclose a copy of this to them?

If not then get it photocopied, enclose this with a letter and tell them you require the details of when this was cancelled.

If they do not comply to this, another option where you should find out would be to request a Subject Access Request (SAR) where they must comply under the data protection act (DPA) and send you details of all they hold, you enclose the one off payment of £10 cheque or postal order for this request and link to SAR template letter below.
Please be aware they have up to 40 calendar days to provide you the information requested for on the SAR.

You could try asking if they will be kind enough to send you the details of this first though with no charge, the details of cancellation.

  • Hi all,

I sent the MSE form to Natwest in the middle of last year more in hope than anything else. It took them somewhere in the region of 16 weeks but I managed to reclaim just under £7000 which I could not believe!

I have now passed the form to by Brother who has just sent back his acceptance letters back! He has also provided some of his colleagues with the form to complete and claim! I think that between my myself, my bro and his colleague we should hit the banks for £10's of thousands! Result!

    Cheers

Hi, the lenders are pretty unbelievable period, the reasons they are coming out with now to avoid paying out are incredible contact them and threaten to fos this.

I will Cappo wheels are in motion with the FOB, also the Lenders have no avenue for challenging for the victims, no telephone number, and will not entertain any communication whatsoever.
So they fob us off to the FOB :) as a time wasting exercise, after all this exposure as to the fraudulent ways they robbed the public they remain SCUM!!
    This is war!! :D

Thank you for your help i thought it was! how do i go about making a claim through the FSCS?
    CLARE

    Hi Clare

Welcome Finance have a team from the FSCS who deal with all their complaints at their offices, usually they will contact you or send you a questionnaire. You would probably be able to find one on the internet. However, each questionnaire has a barcode on it which is specific to each customer of Welcome finance, which may casue you a few problems.

There is nothing to stop you writing a letter of complaint first, the likely response would then be asking you to fill out the FSCS questionnaire!

As usual they wont make it easy!
