Follow Martin's tried and tested route and you will get your money back
why? I have 44 bank statement and have estimated the 6 years of charges. Will this not stand up in court? Even though the BBC letter does state "If you dissagree with this amount, please supply me a copy of all the charges applied to my account dating back 6 years"
They have replied but not contested the amount.
Please advise as I am about to take them to court on Thursday.
Thank you0 -

I watched the programme tonight and it made me get off my behind and start the ball rolling.
Ive just typed up the letter asking for my statements so fingers crossed.
The guy from the ombudsman was defo on our side, so if things get sticky im gonna give him a ring!
Wish me luck!0 -

Im not sure if this is in the right thread... I wrote to my bank 2 weeks ago asking for the last 6 years of statments. A guy from Northern Rock called me today and said that instead of the last 6 years statements they are sending out the last 6years of bank charges in writing at no charge. Have I done the right thing by saying this is ok??0

Im not on the banks side but it does seem wrong to me that people can claim the charges back when they went outside of the terms and conditions.
The charges are excessive but nothing was hidden. I feel the credit worthy are having now to suffer because of some very foolish people.0 -

Is it better then to go through the ombudsman than directly through the courts, then, re your account being closed?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
