  • Havent ever had much luck with survey sites so tonight logged in to top cash back and must have had an account before as have been able to claim 107 club card points. I know its not money towards the loan but am saving points to double up at xmas and then give to parents towards xmas shop. it probably wont be much but hopefully keep us in chocs and pep*I lol. spent 20mins on the site and if everything registers should have earnt another £4 so not bad going
  • So not sure if I did the right thing or not today but here goes.

I had £5185 in an ISA earning 1% interest so roughly £50 a year:eek: so I took out £3185 out and paid it off of my loan which has reduced the interest payments this month from £90 to £60 so all ready a £30 saving (sort off).

In terms off money it was the right thing to do (I hope) but logging on to my online banking and seeing only £2000 in savings makes me :(.

Fingers crossed nothing goes wrong now as that was my emergency fund and savings
Although when it updates I think the loan will be £12413.01
  • My loan was due to run for 72 months have just done a snowball and after paying off the amount today if I just make minimum payments it will be gone in 53 months:eek:. But that's 19months difference. I hope to pay it off a lot sooner but we shall see as work are once again being funny about extras but fingers crossed they follow the normal pattern and change their minds back next month :rotfl:.
By overpaying by £400 a month I could reduce it to 20 months. still feels like a lifetime especially when I know I get bored easily
  • Well internet banking has finally updated and the overpayment has gone off the total. Next aim is to get to below £10000 Am hoping I can do this before xmas
  • Trying to set a few targets so

    1- £10000 by 29th dec 2013
    2- £7500 by 29th march 2014

Just a few things to work towards for now
  • Made an overpayment of £1.01 this am not a lot but going down slowly... very slowly lol
  • No spend day yesterday and hopefully today as well and only 11 days until payday:j:j
  • First direct debit for loan out tomorrow so hopefully take a bit more off of the total
  • New total £12227
  • well I'm back and now that I've found my log in I need to set my new goals
