  • not much to say really but have manged to pay another £100 off of the loan and a few more PAD's to the credit card. That will be it untill payday now unless i manage to sell any more items on facebook lol. Roll on payday 16 days to go :j
  • GRRRRR sorry but its all so slow. It was such a long time since I was able to make any big dents in the loan payments and there are still over 2 weeks until next pay day. I'm just so impatient to have it gone now that i have a "plan". Am working tonight but have 3 days off after so will try and work out how to use ebay as i have a lot of old text books that im not going to use again that are gathering dust.
Also feel bad as i wasted £11 today  it's not alot really compared to what i used to spen but i feel so bad that i spent it. Oh well off to work at least i can't spend anything there and will hopefully have time to work on another plan
  • noy much going on at the moment still a week untill payday but all bills paid and am within budget. Have manged to make nearly £100 in Pad's as well which i know realistically should go off the loan but i like seeing the cc come down a little each day even if one day it was only 4p lol. If all goes to plan will be able to take another £20 off of it this month and will definatly be below the £1000 mark by the 27th:j.

so havent been on here for a while as lost all my log in info. I have managed to pay of my lloyds loan :0) since i was last on line and (stupidly maybe) consolidated my 2 large loans that were at 22% intrest into one bigger payment a month (although cheaper than my 2 seperate payments) and at only 12% this way i am also able to make overpayments. This makes sense to me and today i made my first overpayment of £400. Im probably going to be paying this of for a while but as long as i can keep getting the overtime at work i hope it will be paid by october next year. will update totals later
  • well haven't posted for a long time but pay day today so another £65 off of the credit card and £400 overpayment to the loan also £300 to the savings pot. I am aware that people say having savings when you have debt is a bad idea but have thrown away my pin numbers so now have no available credit and like knowing that if the worst came to the worst i have the money there. Once I have £2500 saved in it i wiil stop and put the money to the loan instead.
Bit of bad news since christmas i have been working a lot of overtime at work which is what has enabled me to make the overpayments and pay off loan number one but come the end of August we will not be allowed extra shifts. I can still afford my repayments without the extras but couldnt manage the overpayments so I have 6 weeks to look for another part time job.

Well done on making your overpayments, sounds like you're really making a dent.

Sorry to hear your extra shifts have been cut but if you keep on the way you are (apart from the extra shifts) you're doing fine. Maybe you could analyse your spending and see if there are any savings to be made on your grocery shop for example.

Don't let the cut in extra shifts get you down, there are always other ways!

Good idea about the emergency fund. Good luck with the new job hunt too.

  • thanks luckily i live at home so dont have groceries to worry about as such obviously i have to pick up a few bits for example if i need snacks for work or if im out and pick up a loaf of bread or some milk etc. the only think i could have cut back on is my internet connection but it's the only service available around her as it doesnt go through the phone line.
I only need to put another £600 in the emergency fund then i will be happy with the amount thats in it am going to spend next week looking for new jobs as not worried about what i do although only really have experience in the sector i all ready work in
  • thanks new leaf. It doesnt all ways happen like that but when im working extra shifts (nights) i sleep all day so no time for shopping lol also 5 nights in a row leaves me useless for my day off :rotfl:
  • GRRRRR trying to apply for agency work and the application form wont work guess I will have to try again later although its pointless untill i can get hold of a full copy of my birth certificate so my plan for monday is to try and get a copy then apply for more jobs as when i looked into the agency before once they have the paperwork i can start work within a week
