  • 22 days till payday and i'm counting down all ready lol want to start paying bits off again:rotfl:
  • Well I've got £10 left in my purse and I want to keep it there to add too next weeks money as I can see me needing a bit extra next week. I'm looking after my brothers little one so expect a cheeky ice cream out will be had. so challenge is to keep this £10 in tact
  • It's Monday and my £10 is still in tact :0)
  • Well just read on someone elses diary that there are 168 days left of this year (where has the year gone)
In the next 168 days I want to :-
Pay £3000 off of my car
Fill up the rest of my Isa £800
And start an emergency fund £1000
so I need £4800 not sure this is completely realistic as extra shifts a few and far between at the min but its an aim.
Have been naughty though and booked a holiday. It's not until next year though and was £180 for 5 off us and it will be my 30th birthday and an xmas present for 3 other people that are coming. need to save some money for this as well but am planning on leaving that to the new year
  • :(Here we go again ( see sig for details):mad::mad::mad::(:(:(
  • OK here goes. Bought a car in march on a pcp plan and was paying a manageable amount each month. At the end of the 3 years there was then a one of payment to make of about £6500. so I made the decision to pay the full amount off now by getting a loan from the bank. the interest rate is 0.09% more but I can easily make overpayments.
The other advantage (or so I thought ) Is that I can see the amount everytime I log on to online banking so it is more real than when I was paying the PCP as honestly I didn't think about the amount of money.
So now am back to thinking about money constantly and stressing even though it is still the same amount. :(
So back to trying to get it paid off. The snowball calculator says 17 months if I have no other live so guess if I still want to live a a bit and put some into savings (know this is not advisable with a loan to pay but don't want anymore credit although the bank were offering all sorts I could have :rotfl::rotfl:) I Predict it will take 3 years to pay this off:(
  • Am meant to be asleep after a night shift and getting ready for the next one but cant for worring about this stupid loan that I took out thinking it would be the answer to everything. I really don't want to be paying it for the next 7 years so have been playing with the snowball calculator I can clear it in 30 moths if I pay £600 a month minimum so that is my plan. the monthly payment is £274.35 and I need to try and overpay £325.65. this shouldn't be a problem when there Is plenty of overtime but on slow months might not be quite so easy.
am working tonight then off a few days so think I will have along for some temp work to cover the times I can get extra shifts
  • Well it's a no spend day today and have paid £3.60 off of the loan lol. (mainly to check that the standing order works) Pay day on Friday so will make the first overpayment then
need to get some bits tomorrow but suspect it will be £10 out of my £50 allowed for the week. Cant see me spending much else this week though as am off tomorrow and weds then working a 10 day stretch so a little mse.
  • Well spendy day today but more so than originally predicted but hopefully will be worth it.
As mentioned previously I had been able to make overpayments because off getting overtime at work but this has again dried up so last night I applied for a job (part time shop work, just over minimum wage but guaranteed hours) They rang an hour after id emailed the form to invite me to interview so have that tomorrow morning.
    Fingers crossed it goes well
  • £400 overpaid to loan so new total in signature. Just waiting for normal direct debit to come out in 2 weeks now
