  • I redeemed 5000 points on 14th may so exactly 4 weeks ago but have not been paid? I have an email confirming the redemption and they say they WILL pay within 4 weeks. I've Googled this and a lot of people say they don't pay so I wonder if anyone has any advice. I have used their contact form but with no response.
  • I was 25 points from getting paid when the surveys stopped. Decided to email Yougov about a month later only to receive a reply saying that I had failed some sort of check and that my account had been suspended.

This is ridiculous...I've been happily completing surveys for years, had the odd £50, seems like they don't want me to get my next payment. Emailed and asked why suspended but no reply yet.

    Anyone else had this happen?
  • I've just had exactly the same thing ! I emailed them, only to be told that I've provided conflicting answers about my gender on 3 separate occasions. I think not ! Funny how they saw fit to suspend my account when I was only a couple of surveys away from redemption, rather than letting me know earlier on. I'm not a happy bunny :mad::mad:
  • Sorry to hear that Ebe Scrooge, seems we are in the same position. I've definitely done nothing wrong either. Very frustrating and naughty too!
  • Very naughty. I've emailed them to ask them to send me evidence of the alleged "transgressions" - I'll let you know what, if any, reply I receive.
  • I think people's alarms about the legitimacy of YouGov are totally unfounded. They are one of the most respected of the polling companies and handle polls on behalf of the major newspapers etc. Results of some of their polls appear on Newsnight and other current affairs programmes. Peter Kellner is often on TV being asked about latest opinions especially around election times.

I've been with them for about 10 years now and haven't had the dreaded email that Katykicker mentioned.

On the subject of payment though I'm not so happy at the moment. They used to pay promptly and it was always received within three weeks of attaining the magic 5000 points (I say 'always'... it sounds as if I've had loads of payouts but despite being with them for 10 years and responding to every invite I haven't had that many payouts:(). My latest cashout took about 6 weeks to arrive and it was a bit annoying as I was seriously strapped for cash at the time and was relying on it:o
  • I think people's alarms about the legitimacy of YouGov are totally unfounded.

There are numerous posts on their Facebook page from lots of people who have had the same thing. And it always seems to happen just as folk are nearing the payout threshold. The posts don't hang around for long though, they get deleted pretty sharpish, and YouGov don't seem keen to offer anything in the way of explanation, or evidence of the alleged wrongdoings.
  • If Yougov are being unscrupulous are they governed by any regulatory body? I've emailed MRS to see if they can offer any insight.
  • I have never had any problems with YouGov, a few days ago I received £50.00 in my bank account and I think I had waited about a month for it.

I log in everyday and most days there is a survey to complete, usually political and occasionally about TV viewing.
  • Anyone noticed that the YouGov survey points seem to have been reduced recently?
The 50 point surveys seem to only be worth 25 points now and there are less coming through.
