Declaring £131.99/£130 for March. Disappointing but only slightly over I guess. Going to aim for the same in April.

    Well done everybody! :T

Lost my mojo a bit over the past fortnight, and stopped being as mse as I usually am. Blown the grocery budget this month - declaring £301.75 instead of the planned £275.
Back to it - not the end of the world as long as I don't let it get out of control.

Dont be disappointed I bet if you look in the cupboards and freezer
you will find more than the £1.99 in stock ready for other meals.
go on have a look and give yourself a big pat on the back for planning ahead, seriously you have done very very well.

Last big shop of the month, used a £5 off £40 in Tesco, got some washing powder on offer, meat (yellow stickered) and lots of other things, approx £53 spent. Fruit and milk only for rest of month and DH will be doing this so I don't enter any shops!
Had to go to town to get a ticket for something so made use of fuel and went shopping too!

Hmmmmm, well getting DH to shop was the plan but then decided to test my own dedication to the task of not over-spending.
So far so good, next budget for us starts on 13/4/12, and we are still sitting (just) under budget (this month we had £200 for food and cleaning for me, DH and DS aged nearly 5).....quite pleased and have about £10 for any emergencies before the new budget!
Aimed to spend about £10 today, managed to spend approx £14 but that was fine, leaving us the £10 left as mentioned!
