Wrong. And a perfect example of how grief affects logical thinking. I'd also bet money that if I followed you around for long enough I'd catch you over the limit.0 -

Yup. An example I remember being some clown who was wavering between 15 and 20mph on a wide single carriageway road with a 60 limit. Once it got to the straight bit, the car behind decided to overtake so accelerated to about 40 or so to do so. They'd waited this long as they wanted to overtake as far over to the right as possible, there would have been a whole car width between them.
At the last second, the plonker who was doing 15mph decided that now would be the perfect time to do a 3 point turn and yanked the wheel hard right without checking mirrors, braking or signalling.0 -

Take the points and pay the fine. The Speed awareness course is akin to watching paint dry.
I fell asleep. The DWP = Legally kicking the Disabled when they are down.0 -

This does not sound right.
First communication does not tell you that you have got points or a fine. The first letter asks you to name the driver
The first letter gave me the options, Return part A accepting I was driving and incurring the fine/ points
Return Part B contesting it (not the driver, wasn't speeding, had an excuse etc..)
Return Part C accepting I was driving and apply for a course.
I also thought it quite odd that I can choose where to do the course, none of this "in the same region as the offence" malarky, you can choose any region.0 -
Most forces are part of the national driver awareness scheme these days, so you can do this.
It's also becoming increasingly common to mention the possibility of a speed awareness course on the NIP as people are less likely to faff about trying to get out of it if they think they aren't going to get points on their licence.0
