Tell your husband to stop speeding, and start touching kids instead - he'll get less abuse on these forums.

When I got zapped a good few years ago, I asked for a photo and couldn't make out who was driving (it was me) as several people on my insurance. Just kept up the whole pretence of not knowing who was driving at the time and nothing came of it. If you do want to take the fall, get a photo and stick to your story, my boss didn't and got a £1000 fine, 6 points + a ban and a huge bump in insurance for non disclosure.

Well you could wait until the Chris Huhne case has gone to court and if he gets off then jut follow the same course of action. But of course he will be paying a very epensive Barrister.

Out of curiosity, what was the cause of the incident for him to only get points and a fine?
She was front seat passenger in a car (BMW) that was going too fast, failed to negotiate a bend, hit the opposite kerb and flipped end to end into a field, hitting a tree on the way. The young driver pleaded guilty to dangerous driving.

Whilst I wouldn't support perverting the course of justice, I can maybe help set your mind at rest about the likely outcome.

Can you tell us what speed he was doing, the speed limit and which police force is prosecuting you?

less info rather than more would be wise considering what is being considered

OP, if it meant my OH didn't lose her licence/job I wouldn't think twice about takeing the points/course but only if I knew here wasn't evidence in existence that could easily catch me out. (like a photograph showing it was a woman driving and a bearded bloke turns up to do the course)

What I meant is, given that info, I'll probably be able to tell you the likely outcome (i.e. court, COFP or speed awareness) of that offence.

If the OP is considering the perverting the course of justice route, then the best thing to do would be to delete this thread. read up on the penalties for getting caught. Hint: prison is a possibility.

I can honestly say I've never exceeded the posted speed limit in the last 6 years.

So going from a higher speed to a lower speed limit you're at the limit before you get to the speed limit sign and when going from a lower limit to a higher one you don't increase speed until after you've passed the sign?

    And you've done that religiously?

    Somehow I doubt that.

Oh, and I've done many many hundreds of thousands of miles, exceeded the speed limit numerous times and never had an accident.

Speeding does not kill however inappropriate speed does.
