I for one would be very interested in what you think of it once you've had a chance to use it for a time!

I'll come back and update once it's here and I've had a play with it. ;)

When i first got my computer i had a go with a couple of voice recognition programs and gave up trying to train them to my voice, but they were only the free cheapie ones. I've injured my hand and can only use my left to control the mouse and one finger to type so it's slow and i get tired easily. I may look into that Dragon and treat myself.

Lady Morticia i've just been watching this on YouTube (there were others there), If that's how quick Dragon responds it looks pretty good, one thing i did notice when the guy was dictating was he kept saying 'period' at the end of a sentence, i wonder do they do one for the Uk which recognises a 'full stop'

The software has been dispatched. I am so excited to use it. :D I was worrying about how I was going to get my OU assignments done as it involves alot of typing and with the M.E it's hard, so hopefully this will help. :)

Thanks for the link. :D Will have a look now. :)

I did read one review where the reviewer said that he had to say "period" or "full stop" so I'm hoping it will recognise full stop.

ETA: Just watched the video. It has now made me even more excited.:rotfl:

I've just had a look at at the YouTube video and that's about right for what I found but he's a lot more proficient than I am with it. I haven't spent as much time getting to know what it can do as he obviously has.

Also the headset he's wearing in the video looks exactly like the headset that came included with my copy of Dragon.

I'm going to have to spend a lot more time than I have with it.

Right I've fired up Dragon and you'll be pleased to know your version should be British when you set it up.

It uses full stop rather than period. If you say period it types period.

In fact, I'm not typing this reply at all I'm using dragon. I'd forgotten how good it was so I think I'm going to use it a lot more in the future.

    I hope this helps.

I bought the Home edition and didn't even realise that it came with a headset. The website only says that it comes with a headset with the Premium edition (or so I thought I read).

Anyway, because I didn't realise that it came with a headset, I bought one at the same time as I ordered the software. Amazon said that the software would be due to be delivered on Monday but that my headphones/microphone wouldn't be delivered until Thursday, so I was a bit frustrated that I'd have to wait almost a week to use it.
Dragon arrived today and there was a headset in the box so at least I can have a little play before my proper headset comes.

I bought one with a noise-cancelling microphone, which was advised by a few websites.

I'm trying to register the product online but it keeps saying that the serial number is invalid, even though I managed to install the software with it. It keeps saying that the 5th serial number box needs 2 characters. I've written the serial number exactly as it is on the bottom of the box to no avail.:(

Please ignore me. I am an idiot. I thought the serial number was on the bottom of the box but it's actually on the CD sleeve.

    /facepalm.
