  • yes and it people like you that give tesco staff a bad name! i wont comment further, just glad i dont have to work there you poor thing! :D

No of course you wont comment further, people rarely do when they know theyre in the wrong. Theres no need to feel sorry for me, I actually love my job, the people I work with and the majority of customers, its just the ones like you who begrudge everyone else a bargain just because you cant get your greedy mitts on it first that irritate me.
  • Hi just wanted to add my 2 cents worth about the whole staff thing. I think it's very fair they get first grabs on the clothes. They are the ones that put up with the rubbish of working at tesco why should they not also get the perks. O and by the way I dont work for Tesco or anyone else well apart from the kids I am a SAHM.

Met the most lovely lady working at Mansfield Chesterfield Road store on the SS tills. Whilst chatting with her about bargains we'd both gotten, I asked if she'd heard anything about a £1 sale over the weekend if she was allowed to say! lol. She said that at Mansfield it's been going on since the sale started! That the £1 items are dotted through the clothing department and you just have to find them. Happy I did find a few! 3 gorgeous big floppy hats in black, tan and burgundy, a woven red waist belt and burgundy felt gloves with big bows on the wrists. Paid £4 for the gloves in black at the start of winter :)

    hope this info helps someone!

Rude, so very, very rude. And why the smiley face? Are you saying that you're above working for Tesco?

You don't have to be so personal. I've looked at some of your previous threads and you've been rude about some of the staff at your local Tesco store, even to the point of describing them (does 'trout in training' sound familiar?). There really is no need.

If you dislike Tesco and its staff so much, why are 90% of your posts on Tesco threads?
It's wouldn't have not wouldn't of, shouldn't have not shouldn't of and couldn't have not couldn't of. Geddit?

I worked for Tesco for 6 years. I think staff should be able to buy reduced items, they are the same as everyone else. They are an awful company to work for, so why shouldn't staff benefit.
There are more grumpy customers than there are staff, and they put up with enough abuse from them to warrant a bargain now and then.

Went to my local Tesco's last night and got lots of childrens clothes for £1 each and a t-shirt for my nephew for 25p. Was told by the lovely checkout lady that on Sat morning the majority of sale stock will be £1.

What's unfair about that? Doesn't every job have it's own perks?

Your post reminds me of another OP who saw a Tesco member of staff put one digital photo frame (I think it was) aside to buy as they'd gone down massively in price. This OP actually went up to customer services and asked for the frame to be sold to them instead. Gloated about it on here as well.

The money of Tesco staff is just as good as yours.

    Completely agree with you Birdy

Most shops work like this. It would be stupid to ask staff to not do their shopping where they work which is why most get staff discount cards to use where they work.
