Only those where a company is paying for the fuel.

Most company car drivers get shot at dawn for filling up at motorway services.

It's like excuse of the day.

Let's face it. Fuel tax is a major economic income source for the government. They have come to rely on it. We might as well burn more fuel by buying V8s - it's being patriotic!

If we get Hydrogen powered cars, you'd have to and buy your special "Shell EcoWater" - heavily taxed of course ;)

It makes a mockery of the 'green' policies of any government and shows how hypocritical they are about it.

There is greener technology available yet the immense cash cow that is oil will ensure that this technology is very, very slow in establishing itself in the market.

Fuel is a major concern to most ..... with 4 cars I am not immune to the spiralling costs, but will enjoy my latter years if the roads are emptier (they are too crowded now).

It would be nice to have the roads populated as they were in the 1950's.

It's your generation that clogs the roads up anyway going 30 everywhere :)

Saying that. When I retire i'm getting up at the crack of dawn and drive at 30 to hold everyone else up :D

One is a diesel, granted, but is just 18 months old with 340Nm of torque ...... it's a neck snapper!!

One other is a Suzuki Swift for her indoors.

The other two are convertibles ... one a four (almost) seater Aston DB7 and the next a pure two seater sports car.

Old age has it's upsides ... lots of free money and very cheap motoring insurance with SAGA.

Do you drive all the cars at the same time?

Fantasies are not constrained by the limits of physics (or motoring legislation for that matter), so yes he does.

It's an escape from looking at the same four padded walls all the time. Flinging your own faeces about gets boring after a while I assume.

I reckon a 20 year old vauxhall nova could snap your neck.

Indeed. When MrRee comes back to the real world he's going to be mighty annoyed that the price of his bus fair has gone up.
