Diesel prices reach eye-watering 150.9p a litre at M6 service station

Fuel is a major concern to most ..... with 4 cars I am not immune to the spiralling costs, but will enjoy my latter years if the roads are emptier (they are too crowded now).

It would be nice to have the roads populated as they were in the 1950's.

    Is this a REJOICE!! moment?

Well, double-sided REJOICE really ....... REJOICE that the roads may be clearer.

Not REJOICE that it will cost people a lot more money if they need to drive to work and earn a living.

don't forget, you're pretending to be in your 70s, so your eyesight is probably going now and you're probably starting to get a bit confused from time to time, so best not to take the morris minor out for a spin, safety of other road users etc.

I don't think i know anybody that fills their car up at a motorway service station. They've always been notoriously expensive and i thought everybody made sure their tank was full before setting out on a long journey that involved motorways.

All they need to do is get a job at your place, then the cost of fuel will not be an issue. They simply need to be better than most other people at what they do. Everyone else can stay at home and suffer.

Only those where a company is paying for the fuel.

Often there are big Sainsbury's/Tescos not far from some motorway junctions, and I usually make a note of where they are before heading on a long trip to fill up and they usually have a cafe and toilets.

Tesco used to do a store directory with locations of their stores on a map which was handy, not sure if they still do.
