  • Ok so I did quite well in the kitchen - levels 1 and 2, plus sluice down of horrible back porch. I had 6 jobs on my list for today, only got 2 done though. Does anybody else find that listing on eBay takes far longer than it should?

    Doing list now...

ooh.. Hazel ... vet... must do that

Bath Squeak.. in the kitchen sink lol
Gather up more laundry (the girls are picking theirs up when they get home tonight!)
Drop bag or 2 at charity shop (I have 4 but can only manage 1 or 2 on the pushchair)
    Cheque in bank
Collect prescriptions.. me, Moomin and ? Boogaloo
    get food for dinner tonight
    Find bath sealant
    Seal bath (OH's job)
    Boots order
    Finish tesco list
    Vacuum hovel
    pics for ebay
upload ebay piles from old lappy and import to new one.. ;)
Order new WM or TD.. I can't decide.. hence following question!..

    Question...

I have the 12kg washing machine as most of you know.. but.. up until getting that I had 2 WM's 7kg and 5.5kg.. and managed fine... now.. I have the 12kg machine and it is ALWAYS on.. so...

    do I..

    a. Get a second washing machine? ... this would result in a lot more to be dried which is difficult with only one dryer, crappy weather and radiators all behind sofas.. in summer when laundry is hung out it would be simpler I guess.

    OR

    b. Keep the 12KG washing and have 2 dryers? ... This would be cheaper for the initial outlay... but more expensive to run and would only be using both dryers in the winter.

Both seem to make equal sense to me and I am not sure which would benefit us the most.

My main concerns are.. having 1 washing machine, if it breaks I am screwed. Having a second dryer will mean drilling another vent into the solid brickwork and rendering which is not easy, not to mention the longterm energy costs. The initial outlay for a second washing machine is more plus I don't know if we need the second machine.

Any input appreciated.. OH said "Do what you want" ... not helpful!

Wash less and spend the money on new shoes?
