Sorry you're both having car problems.
I'm having a cuppa and a blog catch up and then I'm off to the kitchen. I too could do with some positivity in my life right now. I don't know if doing a lot of housework will help in the long term but definately help me living in it here and now.0 -

Cheque in bank

Find bath sealant
Seal bath (OH's job)
Boots order
Finish tesco list
Vacuum hovel
pics for ebay
upload ebay piles from old lappy and import to new one..
Order new WM or TD.. I can't decide.. hence following question!..
Question...
I have the 12kg washing machine as most of you know.. but.. up until getting that I had 2 WM's 7kg and 5.5kg.. and managed fine... now.. I have the 12kg machine and it is ALWAYS on.. so...
do I..
a. Get a second washing machine? ... this would result in a lot more to be dried which is difficult with only one dryer, crappy weather and radiators all behind sofas.. in summer when laundry is hung out it would be simpler I guess.
OR
b. Keep the 12KG washing and have 2 dryers? ... This would be cheaper for the initial outlay... but more expensive to run and would only be using both dryers in the winter.
Both seem to make equal sense to me and I am not sure which would benefit us the most.
My main concerns are.. having 1 washing machine, if it breaks I am screwed. Having a second dryer will mean drilling another vent into the solid brickwork and rendering which is not easy, not to mention the longterm energy costs. The initial outlay for a second washing machine is more plus I don't know if we need the second machine.
Any input appreciated.. OH said "Do what you want" ... not helpful!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Morning everyone!
Not been around for a while due to moving houses. Everything unpacked and reasonably tidy now so time to come back flying as not much cleaning has been done since moving in
Happy belated birthday to anyone who's had a birthday in the past couple of weeks. I hope you had a lovely time!
I still have to call loads of people to change my address so I'll be doing that today as well.

Hello please may I join you - I am new to this posting lark, and need a kick up the bum with cleaning and house management generally.
Spent the weekend clearing out son 2's bedroom as he was away, and simply put anything at all questionable into a bin liner. Now they have all gone to school/work I have to sort through the bin bag and make categories of eBay, charity shop, mend, etc.
How do I find time to do all the jobs on the daily lists as well?
Also, how do I do those fancy signatures you have all got? I know you are all busy, sorry for being demanding.Motto for 2013: GET MORE DONE! AGAIN
Do an hour a day on my BOOK! Also, lose weight. And be nicer0 -
Helen.. go up to the top of the page.. click where it says User CP under the important announcement banner bit... then on the next page click Edit signature in the left hand column.... voila!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

welcome helen
dont try and do it all at once the lists arent written in stone and you havent 'failed' if you devieate from them or miss anything they are a guide some people have their own lists some do everything others pick and choose depending on their own circumstances.
i have a few of my own things i need/want to do that i put in a seperate list and then i work from the lists set on here as i havent been 'flying' long and im really finding they are helping me get things under control and i at last feel like every room in the house gets some attention each week.
re the sig question along the green band at the top you click on user CP then a new window will open a list down the side overs the option to edit signature that where you need to look. be careful what you try and write as there is a size limit.
im sure others will be along to welcome you are offer clearer advice if mine is a bit muddled (things make sense when you know what youre trying to say but dont always read as clearly as they should im afraid)SPC~12 ot 124
