  • I'm in due to minor panic ( no - major panic!)

My mum has insisted that I have a birthday celebration to mark my 50th birthday! I roped my sister in for what I thought would be a quiet meal in a pub and I have tonight heard that she's bringing the entire family!

I'm genuinely happy for them to come too - I've only met her stepkids once - but they'll all end up at mine after and the place is a wreck!

    GULP!!!

So I'm in - and I have to get my backside in gear.....

Thanks Dusty for last weeks list:-) and JulieJim for starting me off again. I love the Sunday evening posts as I don't have to look at what I've missed on the list and look forward hopefully that I'll stay on top of things THIS WEEK. Really gonna make a special effort this week. We've had yet another busy busy week with DGD1 four days and lots of DGD2 too. I don't like to do my jobs when the girls are here I like to enjoy them and have fun watching them both. "plenty of time when they've gone home" I think to myself but that was almost a full week and now I'm shattered. DGD1 going home tomorrow and DD told not to contact me unless an emergency til tea time Monday. Need to recharge my batteries ! Glad we are in the kitchen tomorrow it's my favourite room so will break me back in gently.

Sorry to the birthday girls I missed last week and hugs to the poorlies (who thankfully seem to be on the mend fingers crossed)

Congratulations on your MF Status CY, good to have you back seafarers_wife. Have you been suitabley spoilt rotten. Hope all goes well at the hospital mon&tues for you both.

Thanks to you all who answered my question "How long have you been flying" I kno Mrs Chaos recommended a thread I think you said anniversary for my clutter problem do you kno where I can find it?
I must mention to any newbies (even newer than me bies) that although I've been rubbish for two weeks the three weeks I stuck religiously to the lists has trained my brain because even tho I've been off list I've managed to keep down my hotspots and do little bits and pieces so the house hasn't slumped backwards.
Yesterday while DGD1 was chatting to me in the kitchen I polished the numerous glass photo frames on the windowsill I mean the old me never polished a photo frame for heavens sake!!!

Apologies for rambling just realised how long that post was:(
    The secret of Christmas
It's not the things you do at Christmastime
But the Christmas things you do
    All year through

  • I,m in this week & hope to do level 1s &a few level 2s but will probably be very erratic until i get my brain & lazy ways retrained:o
I also need to put together a list of extras instead of thinking about them & hoping they will do themselves:)
Happiness is a smile a day and a bad memory.:)
