  • Hi!

Yes please I'll join this week and thanks to Juliejim for the list. Don't know what got into me today, and although it doesn't look much, I've had (for me) a v. productive day - lots of recycling put ready to go out, washing which is usually a Monday job done today (primarily because I've got a hygieneist's appointment tomorrow morning), clean clothes from last week's wash put away, paperwork FARed (Filed, Actioned or Recycled - to be continued), kitchen floor swept, fridge cleaned and food put back in.

Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One
Sweep and mop the floor - only mopping to do
    Clear and wipe table
    Level Two
    Clear and wipe the worksurfaces
Clean out the fridge and meal plan what needs using up first
    Level Three
Wipe cupboard fronts, kickboards, drawers, etc
    Clean a small appliance thoroughly
Clean filters on WM, TD, etc - need some advice on this - not sure where to begin as I've never done it before - am dreading what I might find!
    Extras
    HHI or HHE
Clean out any pets or wash bedding - haven't got any pets
Clear a hotspot - anyplace that has paperwork on or in it

    Good night all
  • Thanks juliejim and thanks dusty for last week :A

This week I aim to continue the momentum I found last week - still a lot of improvement needed but the 'little and often' approach seems to be working for me. :p

Welcome new and returning people

DS has an interview at Imperial College London on Tuesday afternoon so I was planning a mooch around the nearby V&A and Science Museum, but he announced tonight he wants to go alone  He's perfectly capable but it's the first uni related thing he hasn't wanted either me or his Dad to go with him. What am I going to be like when he leaves home in September :o

Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One
    Sweep and mop the floor
    Clear and wipe table
    Level Two
    Clear and wipe the worksurfaces
Clean out the fridge and meal plan what needs using up first
    Level Three
Wipe cupboard fronts, kickboards, drawers, etc
    Clean a small appliance thoroughly
Clean filters on WM, TD, etc
    Extras
    HHI or HHE
[STRIKE]Clean out any pets or wash bedding[/STRIKE] N/A
    Clear a hotspot

    Also:
Arrange for car to be looked at
    Post 2 birthday cards
    Take meter readings
    Fill in form & post
Be brave and make a start on assembling the new flat-pack little bookcase :rotfl:

Hope everyone's had a good weekend. Goodnight all. xx

    Happy Monday all!

No joy in sorting out our flea problem - it's better, but despite shelling out £50 on the house treatment alone, and hours upon hours of work, I am still being bitten! So I have called in the big guns this morning and applied for the council to come and sort them out for us. Hopefully they can do a better job than I can! Though I now remembered I put a big bag of clothes in the loft last week, so I suppose that will have to come down and be cleaned too. Urgh.

Right, onwards and upwards...Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One
    Sweep and mop the floor
    Clear and wipe table
    Level Two
    Clear and wipe the worksurfaces
Clean out the fridge and meal plan what needs using up first
    Level Three
Wipe cupboard fronts, kickboards, drawers, etc
    Clean a small appliance thoroughly
Clean filters on WM, TD, etc
    Extras
    HHI or HHE
Clean out any pets or wash bedding
    Clear a hotspot

Also, continue the War on Fleas, phone the agency which manages our house elsewhere and order my husband's travel visa. Have a good day all x

    Morning all!

I'm getting obsessed with keeping the kitchen sink clean - is this a good or a bad thing? :rotfl: Mind you, that seems to be the trigger for keeping everything else in check - how long will it last though!

Hoping to make some progress tonight, although I still have ironing from the weekend to finish :( and another 2 loads to go on the line - another one to go in as well - that will have to go in the TD tonight or I will be like a laundry all week.

Oh well, off to the shower - happy Monday everyone!

    Carp nights sleep :(

Have so much to do today.
After the DDs have gone to school I have to walk down to where the car broke down and phone the RAC, I don't think they'll be able to fix it so they'll have to tow it to the garage :(
I then have to be back home by lunch time as the H.A are finally sending someone out to look at my heating. It keeps overheating and switching off and the pipes in the airing cupboard are making horrible noises so I'm guessing there is an air lock.
Thankfully DD2 did some tidying in their bedroom so the man can get to the cupboard :o

Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One
    Sweep and mop the floor
    Clear and wipe table
    Level Two
    Clear and wipe the worksurfaces
[STRIKE]Clean out the fridge and meal plan what needs using up first[/STRIKE]
    Already done
    Level Three
Wipe cupboard fronts, kickboards, drawers, etc
    Clean a small appliance thoroughly
[STRIKE]Clean filters on WM, TD, etc[/STRIKE]
TD done after every use, WM done the other day when it wouldn't drain
    Extras
[STRIKE]HHI or[/STRIKE] HHE Don't iron but will be walking to get the car, that's about half hour away :(
    Clean out any pets

    Clear a hotspot

    Hi

Thanks for the old list and this week's new one.

I am in, but will be more lurking than posting as life is a bit tough atm, but it will get better, so I am just 'getting on with it' rather than reading and procrastinating about it!!

Everything I seen to touch atm breaks, even OH noticed, and it is all expensives stuff as well, my car is at the garage broken down, hopefully that will be fixed today, it has been there for most of last week, still no idea what is wrong /cost, plus it has an MOT tomorrow, already booked with the same garage.
Next the screen on my tower unit computor has stopped so a new one is on order (£80) OH will pick it up tonight after his work, as I don't fancy at least 3 bus rides each way to get it.
The green house has more broken glass................
The heating is still not working correctly (some of works but not all of it) so with holding final money to the bloke til he fixes it.
    and so it goes on.

The daily stuff is up to date
All washing and ironing is up to date
    Whole house is hoovered
Whole house needs a good dust, so I'll tackle that tonight.

    Have a good day
