Superman woke up limping :eek: when he came home early friday he mentioned he had sore legs but as he doesn't respond to pain it is so hard to know when he is hurt. I noticed last night he wasn't running like he does and this morning he couldn't walk properly. It seems he's torn some ligaments in his knee most likely from running too fast.

He was very good and let them do the xrays and have a prode and poke but he laughed hysterically and told them it hurt. He screetched and hummed and head banged the whole time we were there and I found that the nurses thought they could do a better job then I was! They took 4 attempts to get medicine in him after he kept spitting it out after they very confidently told me they did it all day every day and it was "easy peasy" :cool: and sighed a huge sigh as we were leaving!

We are home now and Superman is under orders not to run for a while and rest his leg. He is watching Minions on his iPad and eating cake He scammed a new Lego Magazine out of me and a big bar of milkybar chocoate

Hope he is better this morning - just wondering how you will make him rest his leg when he loves running about?

So I'm laid staring at the ceiling tiles on out local hospitals children's ward listening to the staff chatter $h1%e about last nights soaps and the poorly little folk coughing and crying. Master Hinge had what we are told to be a series febrile convulsions last night. The little monkey has given is quite a fright as he vomited whilst fitting and was choking. He is currently hooked up to alsorts of drips and monitors, his temp is sitting at nearly 39degrees and hos blood results show his white cell count is worryingly high. We are heading for a chest X-rays as other then his temp and fitting he has no symptoms of infection.

I adore then little Hinges but my word they are testing me to my limits. If this is karma for a previous life then I must of really upset someone!!:eek:

How does it go?....."life is a roller coaster you've just got to ride it...." :cool:is it not time this ride of horror ends and is replaced with a less bumpy, tipsy turvy and less terrifying ride?!

Life just isn't fair. I hope Superman feels better today and makes a speedy recovery. Try and take care of yourself. You are the one who holds up your family and keeps all the balls in the air. So try and catch up on some sleep.
I am full of admiration at how you keep going. I can't imagine how hard it is for you.

Oh Mrs H, how scary for you . Verbatim is right, life just isn't fair! Master Hinge was supposed to be the one who sailed through, causing you no problems!!

:cool:we are home thankfully as I couldn't compre how much I couldn't face another night there. master Hinge has silent pneumonia he has been perfectly well until last nights convulsions and is equally recovering just as quickly. 😍he woke up this morning aNd promptly reminded me I had promised him fireman Sam slippers during his blood tests :rotfl: safe to say he's on the mend! We came home just before lunch and have spent the afternoon cuddled up watching foreman Sam DVDs and cat napping. My body aches all over and I have cried many many times.

The positives

I am so very thankful for my wonderful friends they have helped no end texting me all night to show me they are thinking of us, abundance of cuddles and help with superman and missy Hinge after school.

The wonderful key workers at preschool who were as tearful as I were when they head about master hinge's ordeal.

The lovely student nurse that sat with us most of the night monitoring his breathing and to make sure I wasn't alone.

To my wonderful husband who once hearing we were staying in brought me a midnight feast and a change of clothes and survival kit so I didn't have to spend all night with vomit encrusted hair and clothes.
