Ohhhhhh great news .... will be keeping everything crossed for you.
I switched my CT to over 12 months a few years ago and it does make it a bit easier - I must admit there are a few "green eyed" moments when most people say what they're using the "free" months money forGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Best to have a couple of green eyed moments, than a 10 month struggle. OH I live for the time, when I have free months. Just one month would do thats not a struggle. But no good winging.......I got me into this mess.Provident[STRIKE] £550[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£450[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£400[/STRIKE] £300, Friend [STRIKE]£1000[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£900[/STRIKE], £800 :j

I work part time and realise I am dipping into savings EVERY month - this can't go on. Have to tighten the belt even more. Retirement is not looking good!0

Adrisco, yep I know that feeling. Can you realistically cut back, or are you cut right back now. Can you pick up a 2nd par-time job ?
I can cut back even further. I am trying every little thing. Even gone as far as, measuring my bubble bath instead of pouring ! bubble bath lasted an extra week.
I thought my interview went OK, although I felt it was rather short, 15 minutes ? They said they will let me know by the end of this week, either way. So more waiting.
Ringing Council Tax tomorrow and no word from Provident about my reduced payment I made.
Money really tight and don't get paid for another two weeks . So must get my thinking cap on, on how to get to pay day. I will get there obviously as days go on regardless of situations. Just cant see how. Giving up the car is becoming more and more an option.
Never mind, its sunny and sat in the garden, I have a nice garden but feeling a bit too chewed to enjoy it.Provident[STRIKE] £550[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£450[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£400[/STRIKE] £300, Friend [STRIKE]£1000[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£900[/STRIKE], £800 :j

Have spent all afternoon in the garden - gardening AND thinking. Am going to do the same - try to make everything last longer, walk rather than use car etc. Tend to start off well then lapse. Must stick to plan this time. Can't really look for second job - I look after dgd couple of days a week. But I will think of something - or maybe a lot of little things that save money - and will add up.0

I do a lot of thinking ! I usually come up with something or other ? how is beyond me ? it is amazing when you back is up against the wall, how you somehow manage to get it sorted. We women are ingenious.
Making everything last longer is good and keeps the Grey cells active on trying to come up with ideas to do this.
Food, Money,Petrol, household products are all things I am working on.
Its mine, mams ans sisters birthday in April. I have suggested we go out for a nice pub lunch together, cost about £8 each. Instead of spending £20 on each. To be honest there is nothing I need and being really honest want. That goes for all three of us. So we all saving.
I have canceled my gas and electricity DD and opened a online account with EDF. This means I keep can can keep eye on what I am using and fluctuate my payments. Building up credit for the winter is a good idea but at the moment it is more needed in my bank than theres. I can pay online via my account and debit card, so hope it works out.
Well nothing to do but plod on and keep smiling.

Hadn't really thought about it that way before .... will try to remember that one - my new moto (that I'm trying to stick to) is "positive thoughts" - I really should write a list (I love lists;)) of the good things and stick them to the fridge door!
Will try measuring my bubble bath too - I hate getting into a bath with nothing in (not helped as our water is over chlorinated & you can really smell it). I do use the cheap stuff but would still love to cut down a bit.
I'm not too bad at making things last - I love O*lay face cleaning cloths and I had started to use the cheap stuff from Home Bar*gains but my skin (not great at the best of times) is terrible just now ... found some O*lay ones on offer for £2 for 30 (usually near the £4 mark) but I cut them in 1/2 and there's still plenty of lather :T. Got 3 boxes so works out at £1/month which is OK in my eyes!
Totally skint now - paid on Friday (thank goodness) as only have £1 and change left in the purse and that's after raiding my emergency £30 purse.... must try harder next month.

RFTA, ........payday mine not till next Friday, I have £20 for food and petrol, but can do without the petrol, so should be OK. I say say should be, as I have said before, we all get to pay day one way or the other !
My budgets have gone over a bit this month, but still a big improvement on my past. Trial and error, keep working on it and how things work best for me.
Bath with no bubbles........no way, I have been know to put washing up liquid in, when had no bubble bath :rotfl:, rather than no bubbles at all.
I am getting the hang of making things streeeeeeach a bit further. Made my Yorkshire pudds with 3/4 water and 1/4 milk, instead of all milk, they were fine.
I have also started keeping a rough list on my phone of what I have in. As I have many times, bought things, to get home and find out I already had some !
I have never bought a lotion or potion this year :T. I must buy some self tanning lotion though........I will get it out of my sparkle fund I think. RFTA you might like that thread too, just a little "we" time and stuff. Its official title is.

Glad all is looking positive MWNM. Totally agree about bath bubbles - I have used washing up liquid before as well, I used to find it gets filthy kids who are averse to soapy flannels clean just fine
DD1 once had the idea of putting in some food colouring as well
I remember I had to write a note for school to explain why they had turned green. It didn't come off for several days. I think she must have used most of the bottle. For some reason she was surprised I found out :rotfl::rotfl:

Dawn, that was real funny:rotfl:. I may go a nice pink.......thats my fave colour.
RFTA........woohoo payday for you today
Not much planned for today, just a swim and a sleep. Just done 2nd of 4 nights.
