Dawn lol :rotfl:, cheered me up a bit.
Sat in the garden this morning in the sun with a coffee, looked at all the new life coming through and thought of my own life.
Although I am feeling a bit down and don't know what the future holds. I do have a lot to be thankful for. We are healthy, I have a loving family. We are all there for each other. As I have said earlier, we do not go out and we do not lead a lavish lifestyle. I am not into designer labels...........if all I have to deal with is my overspending and wasting money. Then I am in a pretty good place........if you get my meaning ?
Amazing what a sit in the garden in the sun, listening to water running and looking at new life growth can do for you.
NSD yesterday, 1 day is an improvement. In my two income days, I spent money everyday, whether I needed to or not. All going well ! or as well as can be.
Payday this Friday........cant wait, got all my little budgets set up.
In a bit of a dilemma, do i plod on with £100 as long as I can pay it and get it finished soon as, or explain that DH as lost his job, half my payment to £50 which will make it double the time to pay back. Interest is already added to the loan at the beginning. Mmmmmm have to have a think.Provident[STRIKE] £550[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£450[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£400[/STRIKE] £300, Friend [STRIKE]£1000[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£900[/STRIKE], £800 :j

I am applying for a second job tomorrow. Hopefully it has not yet been taken and I am in with a chance, it is 15 minutes from my home and I all the qualifications needed ? IF I am successful, this will bring in an extra £125 a week. If I am not successful, I will keep on looking for a second job. DH is looking hard and getting down about being jobless and me looking for a second job. He understands that it needed but feels bad about it. Which I understand. Trying to keep is spirits up........its not easy.Provident[STRIKE] £550[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£450[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£400[/STRIKE] £300, Friend [STRIKE]£1000[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£900[/STRIKE], £800 :j

Petrol £60 = 4 weeks, this is for essential driving only, may be able to reduce this next month, after seeing how this month goes. Also my £5 food savings for Iceland , Asda and Tesco will come out of this.
Food £200 = 4 weeks, same as above, first full month of tracking, so see how it goes
Personal Allowance £80 for DH = 4 weeks. This may seem a lot. He buys anything he needs out of this, clothes, some toiletries, depending on cost, if its a bit expensive he buys it himself. He also saves out of this and treats us sometimes. We have also used this many times as a emergency fund. If its needed else where, then he hands it over. I don't have a problem with that at all.
My Personal Allowance £20 = 4 weeks, there is just nothing I need. I will do my best to save most of this, I am keeping it in an small purse. As I have said in earlier post, cupboards bursting with lotions and potions. Wardrobe and loft full of clothes.
All of the above, except DH personal Allowance, will be revised next month and see where changes need to be made.Provident[STRIKE] £550[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£450[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£400[/STRIKE] £300, Friend [STRIKE]£1000[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£900[/STRIKE], £800 :j

Can your DH take on responsibility for ebaying? So spend half of each day job hunting and half ebaying and treat it like a job? And if you're looking at a second job, maybe he could take over responsibility for shopping (as he'll have more flexibility to go at times he might find bargains) as well as for the allotment? If you're doing everything it might make him feel even more down about not having a job.0

Hiya Greenbee and thank you for reading and posting.
DH does most of the allotments, i just mess around and do the easy bits.
Yes DH could take over the E baying, although he usualy asks me to do the listing, in-case he makes a mistake, but practice makes perfect.
Mmmmm the shopping, he could do it np not sure he can be trusted not to put a few extras in ? but then again, we wont know if he does not do it.
Once again thank you for your ideas, I will certainly give them a try and let you know how it goes.Provident[STRIKE] £550[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£450[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£400[/STRIKE] £300, Friend [STRIKE]£1000[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£900[/STRIKE], £800 :j

Hi, just caught up with posts on this great thread. OH and I have both been married before. He has always had a fairly comfortable lifestyle - I have not. I think my attempts to be frugal annoy him sometimes. He adds "extras" when he shops alone. But I will persevere. Will have to if and when I lose my job - at 55 am not likely to find another.0

Hiya Adrisco and Thank You for reading and posting again.
Both DH and I have been married before, although I had a very bad first marriage, I was financially fine. That spoiled me and when I went into my second marriage, although I am very happy, I thought I could live as I used too and could to a certain extent but I let it go too far. DH never had it as good as me and enjoyed the extras money could get in our marriage. So things rolled on, it has taken 20yr to get to this point. But as I have said, I have ran up debts, then cleared them, to do the same thing over again. All without DH knowing about it, as I deal with the Finances. This is why I must clear them now and never allow them back again. DH is 63 and I am very very doubtful he will ever work again.
The annoying thing is the debts were ran up out of wasting money, not borrowing because I needed to buy food or pay a bill but just because "I wanted something and wanted straight away" DH has never denied me anything and never ever said, can we afford it.Provident[STRIKE] £550[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£450[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£400[/STRIKE] £300, Friend [STRIKE]£1000[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£900[/STRIKE], £800 :j
