Howden's do the space range as Glendevon - ie glendevon white or cream.

Thanks, does anyone know if the Glendevon White is any cheaper then the Space white in MFI?

I have been quoted £7400.00 for just cabinets and worktop frm MFI.

I have noticed some people are saying Howdens are more or less the same price as MFI and some people are saying its far cheaper, any info on this would be much appreciated.

    Many Thanks:confused:

From what I've noticed, the main differences with Howden's are on the Schreiber range. If you buy a Hygena kitchen from MFI, it comes flat-packed. Howden's only sell rigid carcasses, this seems to make them a bit pricey. List price, the Howden's Glendevon units are actually more expensive than the MFI ones! Depends what discount you get. Bear in mind, if you're paying a fitter, it'll take him a day longer to fit a flatpack kitchen as he has to build the units.

How sure are you on the price?

MFI Space Cream 800mm HiLine base unit - 280
Howdens Glendevon Cream 800mm HiLine base nit - 442.99+VAT (list price)

MFI Space Cream 800mm 2 Drawer Base unit - 587
Howdens Glendevon Cream 800mm 2 Drawer base unit - 593.99+VAT(list price)

Howdens don't do the 1000mm large drawer unit.

Seems to be more pricey on the basic units.

Many Thanks for your help, I don't think I will bother with Howdens.

Now re-check your prices, given that you can get between 60-80% off list at Howdens.

Re-check my posts above and you'll see I quote list price, and mention it depends what discount you get.

I would still get a quote, bear in mind that the Howdens kitchen will probably come in cheaper than the MFI one, and you'll get rigid units. Its definitely worth considering them imo.

Thanks, I will ask my builder to get me quote anyway.:p
  • Hi

The price from MFI was for Space Cream units and handles only. The worktops, equipment and wirework all were purchased elsewhere.

I understand from an earlier post that Howdens do a similar range called Glendevon Cream (although the handles are different, I think).

    Hope this helps
