Moving to Site Feedback: Questions & Suggestions
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Quick Grabbit, Freebies, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning and the UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. Please note that Ambassadors are not moderators. Any posts you spot in breach of the Forum Rules should be reported via the report button, or by emailing forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.

Unfortunately, the types of people who post all this rubbish on the main forums aren't bothered about other people's displeasure or even the basic rules of the site.
People who post spam are banned and the posts are removed ASAP. The problem exists all week long but is more noticeable at weekends as the Abuse Team are employed on a part-time basis and are less prominent at the weekends.
Spam posts are removed by Board Guides, but each Board Guide only has admin rights over the boards that they guide on. In my case, I can only remove spam from the ebay board.
The best thing is to make sure that all spam posts are reported to abuse@moneysavingexpert.com. One reply stating that the post has been reported is sufficient. It would then be really helpful if people could resist the temptation to reply to spam threads as this only serves to push them up the list and make them more prominent - giving the spammers even more publicity! :rolleyes:0
