Buying stuff at auction and then selling on ebay/amazon is a great way to earn some additional money. My wife has been doing it for a while as we live near a real auction house.
For us ibidder is abit of a double edged sword. On the one hand its useful to see what lots are available/coming up. But on the other it has widened the reach of the auction so more bidders and higher average sale price!
That said our local auction house is massive, 10,000sq ft and its full every week and ibidder only runs on one of the rooms, the electrical sale room. Buying electricals is abit hit and miss as you have no guarantee anything works.
I would disagree with the above comments regarding furniture. You want to buy small items that are cheaper/easier to send. For bulky items you would probably have to them offer collection only so drastically cut down your potential market.

Good Luck and my advice would be to buy as cheaply as possible, research things you are buying or go with what you know xxx

Ibidder has killed an auction I used to go to. They used to offer a no deposit bidding system, so anyone could bid. Prices went sky high, I struggled to keep up most Saturdays, with just 5 or 6 people in the auction room and things going for more than the RRP.
It depends what you buy. If its all flat-packed furniture, then you have a chance in selling & couriering it to someone. After all, most major retailers charge a delivery fee (Argos £8.95).
I've strayed away from electricals, the printers I got first time out were a punt, I knew it and fell extremely lucky. Household items, toys and car items are the way forward for me I think. Although I haven't shifted any of the car stuff I got 2 weeks ago. May end up as a job lot on eBay or carboot.0 -

I think I might have a look around some charity shops tomorrow and see what I can find that I could sell on.
When you're looking for things to double your money with, do you ever find something you really like and get tempted to keep it?SPC '21 #0750
