Alfie - meant the Players Cig machine. I don't know but I would think £100+ each easy as so decorative even though not politically correct.

    Shame about the hats.

Beaglers with no harness and padding Are ok though....

Its just so people don't think they have bought something safe. Maybe it is legal now ever, butbut used not to be. I see them in charity shops and equestrian car boots, so who knows. Just don't want to not say....you know? Would ratjer warn you than not!

They are worth a bit on ebay i do know, having been involved in bidding for some. Even in quite shoddy condition. !That is a bery cool find !rozee.if you are going to sell them its the beginning of the best time of year to do so......
Well we spent two hours up there today looking at every corner of the land and checking out every one of the 11, or was it 12, sheds?

There are quite a number of beehive "modules". But they are in what I would consider a shoddy condition. They're not rotten, but have obviously been in there for years though. In bits with some unidentifiable pieces. Still after your comment, LIR, I'll stop OH from skipping them. We have got so much else to do with the land, they can stay safely stored where they are for now while we focus on the house build and removing any dangerous items like glass & barbed wire and preparing rickety bridges! There are about five of those.... !MIL couldn't believe we'd bought the place without going over it more finely or looking in the outbuildings (most are sheds or animal housing, padlocked and rotten). Thing is accompanied by 3 very young children, in the winter with limited time, it just wasn't possible. The more I see of it, the more excited I get & the more I realise we've a long term job ahead.!

The stream's a lot longer than I thought. It bisects the woodland then serves as a rear boundary to the fields. Theres a lovely dammed pooled bit, quite small and not deep, that would serve as an ideal place for geese to take a bath...!

It was glorious this morning & the view from the top field is lovely (definately suitable for a campsite!) My MIL who was brought up on a farm was brimming with enthusiasm for the place, which is great as my own mum, a townie thinks we're a bit bonkers :)

The quantity surveyor has been instructed for a hair raising fee but we're hoping he'll save us money overall by ensuring any tender/quote is very keen. A week & a bit & we'll know his verdict.!

Cripes! I've just looked at the prices of used beehives on eBay! Amazing!

And we were laughing cos despite all our searching we hadn't found any "treasure" :)

latest additions....CTC...have you encountered as such ? any idea of value anyone.....

Definite ebay auction jobs, by the look of them, separate as well. You never know when you've got just that thing. :)
Any background you have to them, would also be a plus.

I'm sure I'm teaching grandmothers to suck eggs :D but if they are any way connected to trains, their value goes forefold.

Thanks for that LIR - I had a quick look at the way others list them.

Are they all called Beaglers? If they're velvet coated shells basically? One is just as new & seems very recent & has BS numbers inside so presume that one is okay to list as is, but describe other as collectable?

Rozee - Don't always pay to go with cheapest as we tell clients - best if there is some sort of recommendations.
