Dave, you did the full name of the co concerned you might want to edit?

    Hugs from Liverpool.

    So I did! Thanks.
Shades of the "Yes/No Interlude" with Hughie Green? :rotfl::rotfl:

Dave - Have you actually applied for a LPR & pointed out that, as the registered owner of the land on which the pole stands (despite Wayleave having admitted that "The Company" records wrongly show it on a neighbour's land) that "The Company" should incur the cost of rearrangement?

Yes, that's roughly where I'm going with it. As due process wasn't followed, the company was negligent and should bear the cost of shifting it. ;)

Whatever happens, we will not rubber stamp their shoddy practice by accepting a wayleave payment in the current position. :p

We're open to moving it somewhere more convenient nearby if it can't go into Mr Dog's place for any reason. We just don't want it where it is, and we don't think a drainage culvert is a great place for the cable either! How does anyone clear it? :(

The cable digging/laying for BT (around here, anyway) is done by sub-contractors. I don't even know if The Company does any themselves.

BTW - It was Take Your Pick with Michael Miles & Bob Danvers Walker on the gong ...... shows my age :o:rotfl:

Forgot to ask - How long have you owned the land, Dave?

i have a little sunny terrace area where i can sit amongst plants and see the gate but anyone coming in cant see me ;)

ive re chipped that area and started to cover what was my little lawn area..
my hedge trimmer has packed up
but im gonna borrow my dads to do front hedge before shrubs along side it start to leaf up...
i am on a roll in this sunshine...house looks a tip but gardens getting sorted....:rotfl::rotfl:

cos if its "not there " you cant damage it can you.....:rotfl:

Started trimming the lavender "hedge" in front garden this afternoon while OH was away helping with GrandTwins first visit to dentist. Looking a bit neater, but still needs more work. :o Half an hour over a couple of hours is all I can manage at the mo. Tomorrow must try prune apple tree (it's only as tall as me, so is possible!) and OH can have a go at the crab apple, that's too tall for me to reach!

Just made big fish order online from Cornwall, will be good to have some decent fish in freezer again. :) Yum, can't wait to have kippers on Saturday! :j

Ah yes, but my age shows more, because I can't remember who was what. I do have a bit of an excuse, as we were years behind others in getting ITV, and my Dad would never have watched game shows anyway. :o

We've owned the land for 3.5 years.

I'm sure I could arrange to make it the leaning pole of ******** by waiting for Mr Dog to go out all day (guaranteed on Fridays) and then getting Pete in for half an hour with a tow rope. ;)

But I'm really not thinking like that. I just want the matter resolved decently. :)

It's another good example to others who follow this thread. Land can bring you 'interesting' problems. Since moving here we've had:
    1. A challenge to us using the private lane to our bottom yard.
    2. A challenge to us selling stuff at the gate.
    3. A chap turning up to inspect the horse burials, notified years before but not processed.
    4. Mr Dog telling us we mustn't cut our hedge.
    5. A discovery that we owned both sides of that hedge, and the other side was out of control.
6.Effluent from a neighbour's septic tank surfacing in our field.
    7. A challenge to our ownership of a wall.
    8. The pole......

And that's just off the top of my head! :rotfl:

But the main thing is, most of these are sorted.

    Hi All,

Turn my back for a few minutes & I can't keep up.

Beautiful, glorious sunshine here - looks like Greece when it's so calm & dazzllingly bright. Snow still on the tops so it's blinding glare of those.

Supposed to have some help getting the roof sheeting finished but someone didn't get organised..............GGGGGGGGGGGrrrrrrrrr.

    Perfect weather too.

A frost early & the water off but it is nice to not be wading about in mud.

Go some kitchen units off Gumtree really nice price - still boxed, will do the utility, or I may paint them & add to them & use them in the kitchen.
