House is pretty much done :j (apart from the ding room :rotfl:) and I have prepared all the food that I can for tomorrow. Now I just have to go and face the mountain of pressies that have to be wrapped  maybe I could just pop them all in gift bags ;)

Well, the elves have been busy refurnishing the twin GDs' bedroom while they have been out today with DD1 and DW.

But what was promised as a mixed buffet meal tomorrow has now morphed into turkey with all the trimmings . Oh well, second crimbo meal after all :D

But very relaxed, may well read a book tonight instead of watching the interminable crimbo programmes, though escaped last night by watching Kung Fu Panda :o

CTC, took your advice and have a few (!) things finishing after crimbo, relying on the boredom factor kicking in after Boxing day!

Father Christmas was in Bangkok last time I looked according to Norad, hope he visits all you daydreamers :)

I've been back to Barney to get all those last minute things we didn't get at the last minute last time! :o

Took the van to give it a run, then realised I'd be banished to the coach & lorry park for doing that. Ah well, only a half marathon away from town. I even paid my £1.60 although I was 99.99% certain no one would check. :(

Half way home and I get a text message: "Gammon ham? English!" That's when local knowledge pays off. A quick detour off the Link Road into Mole Valley with ten minutes to spare and the job's a good un...:D

Now I'm home, I hear, "Oh, Mole Valley? You should have picked up more chicken food!"

    Ahhhh.....let them eat corn!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Thank you, alfie. :)

I think all the regulars here would agree, the pleasure was all ours when you arrived to lighten-up this thread. :A

Indeed, you and lir could probably write a great book: "Mud & Poop - The Definitive Guide To Losing Your Dignity." :rotfl:

I must say this thread helps to keep me sane, or at least secure in the knowledge that I'm not the only one afflicted by the madness of Daydreaming. What I love best is the way we all do it so differently. grinning-smiley-030.gif

A Happy & Peaceful Christmas to all of you. Let's hope 2013 is kind to us all......but in a way that brings out the best in us. Cheers!food-smiley-004.gif

Very best wishes to you all from Liverpool. :)

PS if it isn't chucking it down tomorrow evening take a few minutes to go outside and view the conjunction of Jupiter with the moon.

Edit: looking at the time, that should read this evening! 25 December.

  • Merry Christmad to all.

Our lottie is all under a foot of water - so our usual Christmad Day wander will be to go and look at it, and see if I can get to the shed to rescue the decent tools with only my half high wellies to protect me from the floodwaters. Yes, the shed is at the ar.se end of the lottie. I might make it if I tip toe at the deep end.

    Sigh.

At least we have ice cream in the freezer. It was on offer.
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.
