    totally had enough now:o:o:o

one of our drivers had a bump.. so that will be 2 claims in one year.

tried phoning the car owner, and they said he had gone to hospital due to his injury:eek::eek::eek::eek: so all within 3 hours, bump, hospital and got onto his insurance to claim for personal injury etc..

just want to go home and cry

heard on the radio the other day they are changing the rules re claiming for whiplash etc ...... to your benefit... so string it out as long as poss and check out what they are changing...... ask for everything...FULL medical records and ask for delay in pay out to check medical details some time later. if you get what i mean...

I take it you can't hedge your bets and be on both lists?

I think I probably could and then if the far away one was not working out then I could move when the other one comes up. Just reluctant to start and make changes to somewhere I may not stay. Oh too much to think about!

Have you no space in your garden?

If it were me and I was being realistic about my commitments, I would make sure I'd used up every possible space in the garden first as I know I find it difficult enough to go to the far end of the garden on a regular basis, let alone get in a car and drive or take a walk to garden....

There's lots of interesting Permaculture ideas about using space, especially going upwards when all the floor space is used. Check out Grow Food Not Lawns stuff. Really inspirational.

Thank you :D your post has made up my mind! I can always rely on you for common sense and encouragement!

You are so right my plan has been to make the most of my garden and then develop an allotment when I run out of space. It is painfully obvious that I have not done that so a longer wait for the site I really want would make better sense. I just tend to get a bit overly giddy :rotfl:

Although I have few commitments my family often do and somewhere within walking distance (under 5mins) would be used more than one a car journey away.

CTC, this is exactly what you have the insurance for, and it wasn't you driving, so there was no way you could have influenced what happened anyway. :)

I know what it's like though. We seemed to have nothing but shunts for a period in the noughties; 3 cars written off, and a couple more minor bumps, though only one accident was our (:omy:o) fault. :(

With whiplash, there's another side to that. DD1 is still receiving treatment two years since someone drove out of a side turning without seeing her and wrote her car off. She doesn't know when the treatment will end, but it's not as if she wants to keep going back; she needs to. Right now, she's paying for every session, in more ways than one.

The problem is all these companies who get details from insurers and then badger people to make extra claims, whether they have injuries or not. We lost count of the number who wanted to help us after the nice girl rear-ended us in Sennybridge. We were fine, but that scarcely seemed to matter. :(

this should eke out the oppotunists and leave more time to concentrate/deal with the genuine.
the baddens have muddied the water and ruins it for the genuine.....
  • THANKS ALFIE AND EVERYONE..

Well at least i have another year before my insurance is due for renewel, so will worry about the increase then..

TBH I used to thrive on pressure, and situations etc, but now i've just gone the oposite...

Well they came all the way from leeds ( 6 hours) to pick the donor caravan up...yesturday...so will put some of that money away in the ranch fund..

got loads of bills to catch up on in work etc, so after doing paper work this morning, might get some more ebay stuff ready to list..
