Rhiw - non payers - aaaaarggggggggggggg. What a hassle, also some right triers on. Jjust can't keep ahead of the scams at the mo, but do find the actual ebay forum very helpful. Some people are beyond greedy - same in real life off the web, but fortunately not all. Seems that folks will do owt to rip you off though.

We had a car prob when I was through at the hospital & we got quoted £1,700 for a re done alternator. We had to take their courtesy car home, Mr Choille went back over next day - 150 mile round trip - in the mean time I'd gone bereserk at their head office & we got a re quote of £150 plus fitting costs of £300 - which was still over the top. The courtesy car ran out of fuel in the middle of bleeding nowhere - our fault the smug plop head on the end of the phone joyfully told me.....................

NOT SURPRISED WE ARE HEOMARAGING MONEY.

BUT on a serious note ;)
ive never had a nonpayer/delayer on the bay ?
iv had slow service to me but not often ,well only recently ! and then i sent the boots back...and THE coat arrived today , supposed to be /says size 12 but it aint...:( its a 10...just ! which means it just fits over a t shirt but no way over anything thicker.. makes me wonder if it is a true brand ?[i have this brand stuff and its true sizing usually ??]
im going to check it out as i cant ask to return it just cos it doesnt fit ...but if its a counterfeit... different story

mabel is still not happy...:( maybe just the weather ? iv sourced the materials and tomorow is "build another mabel house"...:o

i did an airport pick up this afternoon and hed come down from scotland and was telling me what good weather theyd had...

LIR...having just seen it on walls, have u thought of STONE BLUE with PARMA GREY in F&B ...looks good ! she had another wall in another room adjoining in OVAL ROOM BLUE....

IMH and Dave - you OK?

I'm fine, thanks. We were due to make a visit up to Shepton Mallet, so we decided that as today was going to be a write-off weather-wise, we might as well go!;)

The rain was pretty bad, with the minor roads running like rivers this morning, but as we were in the van, deeper pools of water weren't a problem. The M5 was no fun until Taunton, and then it all eased-up. We unloaded and re-loaded in the dry. :D

Coming back, we even saw sun & blue sky briefly, but then, past Taunton, it closed-in again and became a bit hairy in the gloom. Reached here just after nightfall.

Didn't realise it had been so bad. Ate, then slept :o... and I'm just back in the land of the living. :j

PS. Thanks for all the info on the sharks. No frost forecast just yet, but I will assess tomorrow. :)

Well, my lawn is trashed. Builders parking on it, lorries in on it most days, digger this week, and next week......

Just as well I don't care about lawns, worst summer to have major works if you did. But it's the ruddy mud. Concrete is not so easy to clean.

We are a bit soggy tonight, but it was too dark to see much. My foundation inspection holes are mostly filled-in now, but the one that's only half done shows the water table near the house is currently still 12" down. :)

In the polytunnel, there's a bit where water has come up through the floor, but that's happened before and it won't last.

I can hear the rivers clearly tonight. The Taw goes over a weir about 1.5 miles away, and I can hear that more than the smaller river less than half a mile from here. Pete will have been moving animals again. :(
