I actually prefer welsh cs to the d ones, BUT, they are less comfortable for a tall rider ime, and also, ime, there are other benefits over them to the other large breeds i listed.

Welshs are certainly the easiest to get hold of though.

Lol, its just i. Love the natives, and used to compete and show a lot of them. When you are showing everything from small breeds like exmoors to hulks like heavyweight hunters, often enough on the same day, you get a lot of idea of what works and why.

I am lucky i am the height i am, medium, and when i was slim could comfortably ride the larger small breeds and the great big horses, but to short a nexk when you are tall is off putting, and too big a movement (some of the welshes are really bred to move, but not mecessarily under a saddle, ) is hard to work in hand if you are foing to work it from the ground, and also to ride, but is cracking to drive (why they were so popular, like hackneys with the travellers breeding trotters).

After all the brush cutting this arvo (oh, how he likes his new power tool!) the twins, now 29 months, put Upsy Daisy to bed with a plastic hatchet tonight! I hope it's as a consequence of all the gardening clearance in the last few weeks.
  • Alfie.. have you notice our Rhiwie is teasing us:D saying he has a 'goodish' week .

Carp week for me, been wanting to list things all week, but with short staff at work, I have had to work:o:rotfl:

Stroll on the weekend :D plenty of time to play with the piggies..

Tonight they were the most playfull they have been...

Alfie do you a pig poo run? Hubby things I am being silly, but I did say we should poop scoop the paddock...why I thought of this, is because I know LIR does it with the horses, or doesnt it matter with the piggies?

Mock the week is on at 10pm... love that programme
Work to live= not live to work
  • Alex - Exmoors are more than capable of taking an adult on a full day's ride.

I spent 6 hours up ladders tackling wisteria, summer & winter jasmine & honeysuckle. I finished about 15ftx15ft.
I've still got a climbing hydrangea, 2 walls of montana, some more jasmine, some virginia creeper & (the bit I'm really not looking forward to) the wisteria right up at the gable of one of the buildings to do.
I'm not great with heights. :o
At least then I'll be able to look out my front windows without cringing over what needs doing.
Then, of course, it's tackling the side & back :rotfl: Why am I laughing ...... ah yes, hysteria :rotfl:

    Butting in on Alfie, sorry.
Pigs usually like to have their own loo area - though different animals will often choose different places.
Contrary to popular belief they are extremely clean animals & hate messing in their homes.
It's normally better to clear up regularly. Putting it politely, they have a vigorous digestive system. If you leave it for long you'll soon be wondering where the elephant is hiding :D

you can do, they tend to use one place and not just poop anywhere so if you do clear, leave a bit so they dont change where they DO poop. do you have a wallow for em ? now that is funny! just make a hollow ,neednt be deep 6-12 inches and fill it with water, stand back and watch the fun !!!!
