    I've been Money Tipped!
Our rubbish plums were surprisingly good this year. The better ones had nowt. The terrible apple looks terrible and the two not nice on the front ( i think an ok cooker and a diabolical cider one, but not sure) they look ...ok.

Only decent crops have been beetroot and celeriac. The carrots rotted in the ground, anything cabbagey or lettucey was eaten as it grew. The bussels are all ready now :( far too early, and only half there, the rest has been eaten. Compost heap straight away.

i have to make a decision.....portuguese quince or meech's prolific. Meech's has to win for practicality but i love the idea of a portuguese.

Alf, maybe you're going to have to think laterally?

Bimble (?) seems pretty active, howsabout geting one of those old spit roast wheels and hook it up to a mini-genny. One Bimble power light bulb :D

And what about Mabels methane. Got to be a few kWhs there when converted.

And the oil gets into entirely natural places, but lets not go there!

And for something left field, my favourite oddball automata were the machines in Covent Garden, just wonderful :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

And at the opposite end of the scale today a woman sniffily saying she'd only pay £1 (she didnt get the chance) for a £40 modern glass decanter reduced 90% to £4. Compared to a lovely lass (note the tone change) who bought a fantastic vintage alarm clock for her engineer boyfriend for a fiver and realized the value of the transaction.

  • Hi ALL,

Def feels like and Autumn Morning....

Well went caravan hunting AGAIN yesturday, Went to Tenby, where the insurance company hired our courtesy caravan from. We are buying one from them...( link below)

The thing is which ever way you look at it I am going to be out of pocket, as we couldnt find a caravan in good nick for its age like ours:o, and The assessor said it wasnt going to be worth much:o. but it was worth a 5 birth caravan to us IYSWIM

manage to get the caravan cheaper, but It will leave the business account VERY tight.. until insurance money comes through

That looks lovely CTC. Are my eyes deceiving me and does it have a dishwasher?

Mixed weather in Skye but a good time had by all. Went fishing and caught Mackerel and Pollock. I really wanted to make smoked mackerel pate but we didn't have a smoker. Holiday cottage was ok but the owner was a bit of a twonk. Very patronising.

Helped out on 'my croft', hung a new 10ft gate, sorted some fencing and botched up some fencing round the dipper. Helped sort some lambs and cast ewes and hopefully agreed to start to increase their numbers for when we get up forever.
