Alfie are you going to buy that church place and turn it into an antique centre?;)
funny you should say that cos LIR was suggesting same today [but here not in the "church"....]:rotfl::rotfl:
chapel is of interest to my son to convert but its quite complicated..has to be up for sale for community use for up to 6 months, if not apparently council 99% aprove of change of use, im just trying to establish if the price will go up then...!!
his girlfiend is an estate agent [sort of] so she will know the ins and outs more..
ive had a fab day today...took dogs with me , BIMBLE was a little tyke tho ..:o thought he owned the place !! so apologies there...:)
im going to car bootsale tomorow to have a browse, then an airport run, then take my parents dog to kennels [shes old and dad would worry if she was here...] while they go on holiday, then pick up big dog [for 2 weeks] then i may have a sort out of the barn shed to make some space for .......;) whatever finds its way to a buyer via me...:D:D
gonna trailer stuff to tip monday after parcel arrives ..:j

I can tell you now that it will!
It's a bit like an agricultural tie being removed after no one buys the property, appropriately priced. The asking price would then rise for re-marketing by approx 25-30%.
Actually, 6 months 'testing' for community use take-up seems reasonable. There are lots of redundant chapels in Wales which have been marketed in a similar way for years. Cheap as chips, but no one can do anything sensible with them.0 -

if it rose by 30% it would still be a VERY good buy
he has mates in the firebrigade that were/are tradesmen and have offered thier services to help himwe will have to see as i think it will be a quick sale after the "quarantine" time. hopefully his girlfriend can help there

I was looking at an old church for an antique type centre, but i kept my hands in my pocket...:rotfl:If I were you I would def lok into getting a place, or turning an outside building of yours into a storage/selling place, appointment only basis....
I was suprised at myself too, with not buying any piggies, BUT i had to be realistic... we are away from wednesday to sunday, and did not want to rely on anyone seeing to them, Plus.. i couldnt let my heart rule my head... with the runty looking weaners...
A few people/neighbours are asking about the pigs, and asking if we are aloud to keep them there, and if we will be living in the house when the pigs arrive....We also got told by one person, that there are on or two people who live nearby that dont like the idea of the pigs being there....
So it looks as though there could be some 2 faced neighbours around, that we will have to keep an eye on.. as they sound as though they could be a pain......BUT... I have a masters degree in being a pain in the !!!!;)
Right got to go..... catch you all later/tomorrowWork to live= not live to work0 -

Hmmm, they'll just have to mind their own business then, wont they
As for a place, one lady who bought from me, who runs a local shop, said that if they had to start a business again they would move out of high street retail, where all profits flow to the landlord. Somewhere with secure storage and good internet access may be a better business model, so I'm with you on using a barn property as long as personal security is not compromised.. FWIW the largest single expense with what I'm doing is petrol spent on buying stock!
Had a Foden moment yesterday so profits on the up again after a thin patch :T. Spoiled only by the buyer e-mailing (after he'd paid and I'd shipped) asking me to change the delivery address as he was off on hols
Picked over 2kg of toms yesterday0 -
Endless torrential rain hereTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0

evening all
frightened to say this but weve had another sunny dry day here...:o
i did 5 machines of washing,out,dried,in..:D
my son squirells away towels at a rate of knots ...cupboard was empty now its full again...for now !...
we went to see the chapel...im in love !! plenty of floor space ,solid, sound and no roof/damp etc infact its been very well looked after.
of course im eyeing up the fixtures..;)over £1000 in pews alone..:D
he could buy it now, put it back on the community sale for 6 months at a higher price, wait 6 months then if not sold for an instant profit, put in for change of use then PP. then either sell on [profit cos of PP] or live there.. thing is we could be talking up to 18 months total and it will pay out for def with profit. seriously cant go wrong, no way is anyone gonna want it for communal use as theres no passing trade and no other parking..so could be a way of saving for a bigger deposit if he doesnt live there. its in the most prettiest little village just outside a bigger one. quiet lane etc. hes just got to see if a morgage will cover this sort of sale...:o
rhiwi, got my box :j:j bl**dy hell that doorstops heavy !! hernia country ..:rotfl: love it all and pug mabel brill..:D0
