Dh is going to get bakers poppy seeds this week for the sides of the lake cake, which we discovered to day has a lining. The lining has a rip, but the rip looks old, so ......no panic?
Not sowing the annuals when the daytime temps are so good is starting to drive be a bit potty. We had frozen troughs a week ago, today the horses sweating in the field.
Alfie, a goose question! One of the male geese has lost a patch of feathers on the shoulder, and they are all squabbling. We decided to put them back out thios evening as the squabbling looked muderous and we thought locking them in wiuld result in a death. Is this normal in spring? They still go about together.
This week i want to sow rainbow chard and some lettuce at the very least. But i want to sow annuals!!0 -
Can't keep up again! CTC no I'm no expert at auction and it was a little hair raising but I'm used to fairly stressful business type situations so not too bad. Its definitely a good way to buy if you're not dead set on a place. I tend to buy properties with my head. Something else will always come along.
I hope I can smell the wild garlic otherwise my rhinitis is back with a vengeance. It's only got a few sprouts at the mo.
Good idea about the wild flower guide. Need to look out for one at a car boot.0 -

re goose LIR........ at the moment at L's ,her geese are all "manning" up at the mo,EGGS ARE ALREADY BEING LAID !! they will sort out the pecking order [pardon the pun..:rotfl:]. they are both vying for girlie attention.. i wouldnt worry about locking em intogether, they will settle in the dark. if they squabble outside at night it will draw attention to themselves ??
BUT I COULD TRY AND GET YOU ANOTHER GIRLIE.....??:D
