There's always something that doesn't go smoothly.
I can't help on the treatment plant, rozee, sorry. All I would say is make sure that you have MORE than enough capacity.
When we did the conversions we had a 32 person onion put in. You, obviously, aren't going to need anything to cope with those sort of numbers but it's still better to go over than have the thing 'overloading'.
Seconded, sort of. We were between sizes and were advised it was better to not go bigger but rather empty more often for good maintaining of these. Unlike a septic tank on emptying you have to fill them with clean water (can be stored water from outflow) so going vastly oversized would be water expensive on a metre and poor conservation off one. I actually wish I had stuck to my guns and gone bigger and just made more people drop in to ' keep my bacterial balance right' although at times its very busy!0 -
Hello, Gareth! No point asking me, either. But I'm nosey for answers0

Rozee, are you taking lots of pictures?
You can never get enough...you never know what comes in useful or interesting to have a picture of in a few months!0 -

Or a few years. When my BiL had boundary dispute, his new neighbour had reckoned without photographic evidence. It turned out the whole family had been taking pictures of the disputed area for about 30 years, not intentionally of course.:rotfl:
Where cables and pipes go is a must, and get them to draw the no nails areas on the floors as they put them down.
Water treatment: Treatment plants are a good thing, so if you have to replace, it's a no-brainer. That said, our septic tank has been mostly fine.0 -
Sorry, iPad changes rozee to rose, sometimes I forget to check.0

Hi all - been busy so not on much at all.
Nothing much to report, just treading water at the mo.
Sorry to hear of sore backs & knees RAS & Rhiwie - take care.0 -
Ah, but it's good to hear you are OK, choille, even if there's nothing to shout about just at the moment.
It looks as if this funny stuff called decent weather may even have reached you up there, making these extra long days very tolerable in a place like yours.
Not much to shout about here either, except we won the village lottery.Somebody wins it every month. The lady who brought the good news asked, "Have you paid your entry this year?" and we said no, we didn't think we had, so she needed us to enter before we could have our prize. Lottery, Deb'n-style! :rotfl:

Choille, so nice to hear from you, don't really know what you mean by treading on water, but if we can help in any way, please let us know, even if it is to vent off about something in a pm I am sure anyone of us will be here fro you..
well done davesnave on the village lottery win, the all important question, will you change now that you are a lottery winner:D:rotfl:
They have given this glorious weather, at least until Saturday for us, but its too hot to work, let alone do some gardening in it, well at least the weedkiller will work great in this weather:T
Hope everyone is fine, and hopefully all the aches and pains are getting better, don't forget suntan lotion, don't want peep burning out there...Work to live= not live to work0 -
