I have never said I haven't read cyclecraft.
Is there a requirement for ANY cyclist currently on the road to read cyclecraft, even The Highway Code, or even to have the faintest idea about road safety or the RTA?0 -
I have never said I haven't read cyclecraft.
Ah yes, straight from the Bill Clinton school of avoiding the question. Is there a requirement for ANY cyclist currently on the road to read cyclecraft
No, but I'd expect someone to have thoroughly read it before attempting to give advice to cyclists on how to ride safely and considerately.
Have you read cyclecraft yet?
A five word question that requires just a single word answer.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0 -
No,you simply aren't worth trying to educate.
I find it hard to give up on anyone but I really am getting close.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

Are you trying to suggest that I have attempted to give advice to cyclists on how to ride safely and considerately? Please direct me to a post where I have.
I have actually made comments and examples where I believe cyclists have ridden breaking The Highway Code.
I have made the point that there are bad cyclists, something which people on this thread refuse to accept.
I have made the point that there is no requirement for ANY cyclist to have read cyclewise or any other text for that matter before taking to the roads.
Every driver HAS had to read The Highway Code, and HAS had to pass a test to be on the road.
Logically every driver therefore must have some knowledge of the road, before driving on it. The same cannot be said for every cyclist.
All along I have always maintained there are good cyclists and bad cyclists. There are good drivers and bad drivers.
Accept it and move on.gadgetmind wrote: »Have you read cyclecraft yet?

If you can't win an argument with a person, insult them. :money:

So, you now claim to have read it, but can't remember its name?
Nice.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

Nice.
Point out the typo, because you would rather argue about a typo than accept the points made.
