Just do a system restore prior to the point of using it .
Thanks mluton, I tried that as I thought that would have done the trick, but the restore crashed three times in a row. So I guess the virus must have effected that too. Thanks for posting.
WOW, malwarebytes found 20 objects so far.... well worth running this, Thanks again pals0 -
Gosh, I am going to have to get an appointment to talk to GJ now, you really do not know what it will do to his ego :rotfl::rotfl:angelaloveschocolate wrote: »

I wouldn't use system restore - It's far better to use dedicated malware removal tools.
System restore is a snapshot of the system state, which can include malware files and settings - windows doesn't differentiate between good & bad.
In fact when you are satisfied the system is clean, you need to flush system restore & delete the existing restore points by turning it off, rebooting and turning it back on again.0 -
angela, can I use that extended quote in my signature block ??

oh, and mighty fine a-licking
G-J - exiting stage left before head swells too much to get out the door :rotfl:
...but before I go (only joking), once you've cleaned your pc, turn off system restore to delete all old (possibly still infected) points, then create a new (hopefully clean) one
