court action

hello everyone. iv had a pcn from new generation cardiff threatening court action if i dont pay £150! i have to admit even tho all the advice says to ignore these letters it has got my heart pounding slightly! has anyone dealt with this company before and do they have any tricks up their sleeves apart from scare tactics? i cant pay them even if i wanted to so taking it before a judge is pointless unless they r happy to settle for 50p a week! lol any feedback would be amazing thank you!

Yep, Google them and read all the threads from before about them on here, and other forums like pepipoo and CAG.

Ignore them. NGP have never done Court.

Read the top sticky thread 'PPC letters & threats' for info and for the Watchdog clip. NGP send a lot of letters and they are shown in pics on that thread. Find 'your' latest letter and just play 'PPC snap' with the predictable others!

The 'sticky' permanent info thread is always at the top of the forum index which you can see just with one click (see my signature).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Ignore everything except a claim form from court. Chances of that are beyond remote.

By the way, I've yet to come across a debt collection letter that doesn't threaten court! I've got 21 here from 5 different debt collection companies in my drawer from British Telecom and I should have been to court 21 times apparently!
  • thanks :) il just wait for my day in court then...lol

Don't forget to invite us if you get a day in court, Natasha! You can judge from my signature what the chances of that are, though.

Ignore the tw*ts, just like you were told last time you asked. If it's up at £150, it won't be long now before it comes down to £0, when they realise they are wasting time and postage writing to you.

Had threats from them, debt collectors and Graham White solicitors. This was all 12 months ago, nothing happened since. Let me guess - free carpark in Cardiff Bay? There is no loss to the landowner so they have no leg to stand on in court as they can only get damages for the landowner. That is why they don't do court!
  • no it was an apartment complex. the letter says that altho i was parked in a vistors bay (while i was visiting friends obviously) i didnt have a permit??? dont really understand how this works and how the landlord has lost anything by me being there?
  • You don't need to understand anything Natasha. Other than it's a scam, you don't owe them one penny, and you should treat them with the total contempt they deserve by ignoring them. Parasites.
